 Newsflash: Helicopter crash in Utah. A very small helicopter today crashed in Utah, the cause thought to be linked to the nearby mountain biking event: Red Bull Rampage. As the helicopter was passed over by an as-yet unknown flying object, failure of the aircraft's engines are thought to have occurred due to an ingestion of a large quantity of 'sick air'. Pilot testimony likened the object to two joined flying saucers, with one emitting a ratcheting clicking sound. The Pilot sustained minor injuries, the most significant of which was a hyper-extended stoke gland, but is said to be in an otherwise stable condition. Authorities have warned against further air traffic, as further large quantities of this air are expected to appear in the near future...

 Watching videos on youtube of the redbull rampage was seriously what got me into riding in the first place. So stoked that its back again for 2012, such a great inspiration watchin these guys huckin crazy lines and pushing the limits of the sport and the bikes. cant wait for finals

He can whip in more than three dimensions.
He doesn't usually race world cups, but when he does, he rides a hard tail. And wins.
When he drinks red bull, he gives the red bull wings.
He has been the winner of the red bull rampage for the past decade--even in the years when the event didn't happen.
He is the most interesting mountain biker in the world: "I don't always ride big airs, but when I do, I try to emulate Cam McCaul. Stay stoked my friends".

 That's one small jump for Cam, one giant leap for mankind.

 This is literally Evil Knievel shit and guys like Cam McCaul make it look way too easy. The angle sure gives you an idea of how big the canyon really is and how severe the consequences are if you make any error whatsoever. You would have to be so on point and committed to hitting something like this... can't even imagine what it takes mentally to ride this stuff. The canyon gap and the Oakley sender have to be 2 of the biggest features in mountain biking ever. Best of luck to the riders who risk it all to push the sport of mountain biking.

 Cam McCaul for president! If Mountain Biking was ever to need an ambassador, he would be easily be the best rider for the job. Attitude, ability, charisma, he has it all. It's dope to see him right up there again, would love to see him get a strong result this weekend, rip it up Cam!

 Cam McCaul sent the canyon at Rampage, with style that increases with age, He threw a whip across the gap And qualified first place with that. One of the top freeriders on the world stage.

 It's take a kid mountain biking day in Canada, I'm going to take my son biking and then watch Rampage with him. Doesn't get any better than that. Oh and probably eat a lot of turkey

 I heard hes on contract with the US Air Force. Apparently his helmet is outfitted with missile guidance system and a remote anti-aircraft trigger. After Rampage he's headed to Afghanistan. Good Luck Cam!

 We're so used to see someone nail something like this we don't stop and think about how hard it actually is. PinkBike posts shit with stuff like this and we don't even blink. Sure, we might add it to our favorites, yet as most of us are just fans, we can't completely grasp what it takes to nail the Canyon Gap.

 Just watched the qualifiers about five minutes ago and they all seemed unreal, until cam's run, that was beyond possible!! A gap like that, honestly how much sick air can you get in a run, seems as though red bull really does give you wings!!

 I want to thank the world of mountain biking for something else to be thankfull for this weekend, the rampage, while the rest of the world eats a sh*t ton of turkey im going to be working hard so that on day i could ride in a event like this, and be thankfull that i started biking of course.  OK, it´s official: MacCaul has his own non-relativistic gravity field. Either that or he is capable of challenging the knowledge we have about gravity... Aren't NASA guys aware of that?

Furthermore, Red Bull™ has announced the launch of a Cam McCaul inspired energy drink aptly named, "Afterburner". Cam says he doesn't hold it against his younger brother Tyler. “I’ve been drinking that stuff for years. It tastes great," Cam chuckled, "but it does give me gas."

 I love the red bull on the side of the take off. It conjures the thought that the rider is riding up its backbone, and using the power and might of the jumping bull to launch himself across this spectacular chasm. All the riders taking part are animals!

 Rampage is one of these events where you just have to think about how crazy and sick our passion have become.

 Wow!!! For a second there I was scared for the heli pilot incase cam sent the canyon gap to big and tore a hole straight through it

 The Rampage is just insane. Pushes the limits of what you can do on a bicycle every year. Its awesome sequence that shows the scale and size of what people are sending bikes off (and making the landing) in 2012.

Amazing.

 All those reports of "flying saucers" and other UFOs in the area decades ago were probably just sightings of Cam as a kid, practicing to get to this point.
