Transition Bikes is proud to announce a giant step backwards with their latest bike. The Klunker features absolutely no technology and is in no way optimized. 4130 chromoly, moto handlebar, DH tires and a coaster brake are all the features you need to rip your favorite trails or cruise downtown to grab a beer.

Coming in at 32 lbs for the complete bike, the Klunker is incredibly lightweight for a Klunker. Another thing that is lightweight about the Klunker is the price, $549 for the complete bike. Two color options are available, “Party in the Woods” Matte Black and “Klunking Isn't Free” Eagle White (featuring checkerboard toptube and crossbar pads).

 I have the movie "Full Medal Status" that has the original "Kulnking-guys" in it...including Gary Fisher. Best quote of the movie comes from one of the locals..."Klunking is muddy in the winter; and it's dusty in the summer". Classic.

 This is really what mountain biking is about. We live in a day and age where we have so much travel at our fingertips. Don't get me wrong, I love my all mountain bike, but this bike serves so many purposes. Look at how they ride it. Jumps, commuting, riding trails, etc. Anyone who rides a beach cruiser needs to get rid of it to make room for one of these. College kids can use it as a campus get around bike, and go out to ride later. And at $550, they make it open to so many more people. And finally someone made it in 26" wheels so I can jump it!!!! This will probably be their best selling bike ever, and I certainly really want one. It has something for everyone so it can be used by everyone. Now when does it go on their website and out for production?

 Saw this at shoot the trails!!! An inspiration to everyone who thinks they know whats up.

 I had a great time just being around Kevin @ "shoot the trails" as he shared his stoke with whomever wanted to talk bikes. The Transition guys personify the love for the ride that gets us all out the door and riding. Kevin was amped to go ride in the rain since it had been 80-some days here in the 'Ham w/o rain and he wanted to see wet roots again... and he designs bikes that he loves to ride. They certainly rep the passion at Transition. Woot. Fun flick too.
