Trysil Bike Arena gave me the opportunity this year to build my own trail at the bike park. At our disposal, we had a good group of guys and some heavy machinery. We had only one month in total to build and film the whole project. 3 heavy weeks with 12 hour days on the tools and we got the building done. It was strange for me to build stuff that fast. Suddenly it was 3 jumps in a row without testing one of them. Usually, when I'm digging at home I can spend 1 month on 1 jump, so I feel like I have learnt a lot. Super fun. The bros from Blur Media came to shoot for a total of 9 days. Filming sessions started early in the morning and we kept going until the sun went down. Hyped we got it done. The B-RAGE Trail will open spring 2021! But we will have some sessions going on this autumn!— Brage Vestavik
Back together with Brage Vestavik stacking clips in one of the sickest bike park trails out there. Set out to build a challenging trail for the experienced rider, and for the next generation to aspire to, Brage has really created something special at Trysil Bike Park. A huge skinny drop in to a gnarly wall ride, heavy hitters and large sends, this trail has it all.
This trail probably has some of the biggest sends we have ever shot. On our first walkthrough, we weren’t sure if Brage would be able to hit all the features, the course is crazy technical of course, but mainly because Brage was so worn out from all the digging. He was a broken man. There was also a concern if we would be able to finish shooting because he hadn’t really made any test runs and some of the final adjustments on the trail weren’t done until the very last day.
A serious amount of effort was put down in front of and behind the lens - pushing the limits of both crew and rider— BlurMedia
Brage has gotta be one of the most 'sponsorable' riders out there right now, fast, stylish, long viking hair, big trick bag, sick edits, builds ridiculous trails and built like a brick sh!thouse... I hope a few other people at least have the skill to ride that trail though!
Is Brage a downhiller, a freerider, a slopestyler, and/or a trailbuilder? He is all of those things...and more!! He is a Super Viking!! He is Brage!! One of my favourite shredders to watch!!
Brage is an incredible rider. Heaps of raw talent and always awesome to watch. Feel like he slips under the radar a bit perhaps because of where he lives. Either way, hope he has big things ahead. Would be awesome to see him ride something like Rampage.
For those of us who know him as a big hit, big mountain rider it's cool to see how amazing he is on the small bikes and trick jumps as well. Awesome video, riding and trail project!
This dude is so sick, love his style and power on the bike.
I mean no disrespect by this at all, but its really rad to see a slightly heavier set rider with this kind of agility. Reminds me of Jamie Foy in skateboarding.
some bike parks are only interesting because of these double black or "PRO" lines, Kalnica in Slovakia is perfect example of that, that hill has just over 100m of elevation yet riders from surrounding countries are there every weekend because there isn´t anything like it in 1000km radius or so.
Trysil where the line is located has all ready invested approx 3 million euro in mainly green and blue trails with sprinkels of red and black. This is just pure marketing
Just because people can't ride it YET doesn't mean there's no point giving them something to aspire to. The double blacks in Whistler get plenty of traffic. Not as much as Crank It Up but they aren't empty.
@kasperthecourier: it's a family-friendly double black with a gap wallride. I've no idea if or how these lines are built without physics calculations on radius, mass, velocity. It's also excellent marketing for GT, Burgtec, Fox, Trysil, etc. but like the master races, it's hardly pure. Smiling-face emoji.
@kasperthecourier: honestly for bikepark new riders or people who rides blue and red generate 95% of revenue; those 5 persent who is being sponsored and send whatever they see- do not generate much revenue...
Same for ski resorts, and any other recreation activities
its these pro-only trails where all thr pros travel to ride and film edits, these edits then make it to pinkbike, youtube and instagram and all of a sudden the bikepark is a household name.... its all about getting free advertising.
Whistler has likely never paid a cent to advertise directly to anyone outside of North America, yet we all know the place because of all the constant edits and videos.
^^^^^^^^ 100% steeze ^^^^^^^^^
I rode a Gt sensor pro 2020
It’s a killer Bike
As a comparison ‘Vink Line’ in morzine covers all skils starting from green
Same for ski resorts, and any other recreation activities
