Hey guys, remember fun? Before all the serious races, massive jumps, people getting busted up and all the hits of adrenaline, before we all got too serious and stopped enjoying riding because we weren't winning enough, pinning enough or going big enough? Remember that? Because I forgot.
This looks fun! I don't know anything about snowboarding, but are they just using regular snowboards? I'd assume this would trash up the board a bit more than snow would...am I right?
It's kinda like snowboarding on icey hardpack snow. And yes they were normal snowboards that are now thrashed. Would take some love to make nice again. Brett was on an older Burton Custom and his brother was on a Bataleon.
For those who have never tried ripping a gravel pit on a snowboard or skis...it is a blast...just a tip, keep out of the way of the guy above you cause he'll send rocks down an chip your tooth if you're not careful!

Tippie kindly showed a few of us that spot a few years ago but we all just straight lined it. The fear was too strong to try and turn. It's fecking steep! Also props for putting together a vid with music that doesn't totally suck!
this vid couldn't have come at a better time. Was out for a walk with the wife today and found a massive mountain of dirt at a housing development. Just a few piles of dirt...and now this has me more motivated to go ride it before it's gone!
Best video I'v seen in a while! Laughter was the one of the best parts! Topped it off to show how much fun there having. I love seeing people of all ages enjoying the sport and loving and laughing like they were! Now that is what you want for motivation to ride! Nothing better then being pumped to have fun!
ALSO! Some reaallyyy talented riding in both areas there, on bikes and snow boards! Don't imagine it's easy to get down those hills!!

That opening scene totally screwed with my sense of scale - it looked like a couple of tire tracks going from left to right across the screen and then tiny 2" high people come by on snowboards. Also, I've never appreciated that song that much before. This video made it awesome!
Now THAT was a great way to start a Monday. Tippie's laugh is so infectious. Ride a chair or two with him in the summer, and see if you can make it to the top without nearly peeing yourself.
Whole video is absolutely cool. Serious shredding, a funny crash and a nice landscape. Then when you think it can't be much better, Tippi starts laughing and this is just a hell of fun.
Amazing edit, the vibe's so good and they are having so much fun it's impossible not to enjoy it. Tippie is absolutely nuts though, but talk about skills and strength to ride that board there!
Epic, this just brought me back to those beautifully large Namibian dunes, me my dad, quad, Toyota Hilux, rope and a large piece cardboard shaped like a sled! Never pissed myself laughing as much as that day!

AWESOME.. these guys know how to have fun... and don't mind getting a little messed up in the process.... I have seen people surf on sand in the dessert, buyt never on gravel... I would NOT want to fall, but looks like a hell of a ride. Thanks guys for posting a fantastic video.. really captures a spur of hte moment fun time out.
Bout time someone was just all about the fun factor! Love it. This is how every day should be. Who cares how good someone is at a sport...having a massive smile on your face is what makes it all worth while.
Hey, Brett, you probably ought to be doing more riding and filming than being on the mike. Your mike antics are great, but I want to see more footage of you shredding. My two cents, that all. Great video.
Cant believe how well this went but then i seen the word silva ,Steep ,loose,The Song really blended .Loved that shot with his bro airing into a heelside turn ,and the shot when Tippies board makes a smooth entry into a ravine. You think they had sand in there crack after that? Reminds me of jumping off sand dune drops as a kid .
