Watch this edit to see the trails they’ve been riding and an interview with the two riders – hear how Sam has helped Mike get to where he is in the world of downhill, including his transition from ‘Mad’ Mike to ‘Majestic’ Mike, plus what it’s like for Mike staying at Sam’s house…
Prerequisite for being fast and awesome: thick eye brows and be borderline bogan/chav. Hope these guys kill it this year! No fuss, fun and fast approach is great to watch!
It was such a pitty to see Sam crashing in Hafjell when he was on his way to become World Champion 2014 (he was even faster than Bryceland up to the point where Sam crashed).
they were bantering about one using flats and the other not. Sam says that you can pedal with flats as he won an EWS stage last year with them (rotorua stage 7) , Mike then noted that was only because the stage was half oF the DH track that Sam had practiced all week.
or something along those lines. im at work now so cant watch it again but thats what i remember from when i was scoffing my weetabix watching it on my phone.
to be fair to sam he could have respnded back to mike that it wasn't just him that had practiced the dh track all week, as there weer plenty of clipped in DH riders racing they EWS who had as well.
oh yeah and what was quite funny was when think the camera guy observed that Sam was using a fancy chain cassette. (im gonna guess it was one of those gold sram ones we saw at Andorra last year).

I've got high hopes for these two this year if they stay injury free.
One of the biggest disappointments of last year was not getting to see Sam tear Lourdes apart.
@jaame Who knows who will win this year. Loic is a beast, Brosnan is on the way up too, RatBoy always in the mix now, Stevie Smith might return to form, Gee on Trek...watch out, and Gwin is just a machine. Minaar almost won it all last year and didnt he tape his hand to the bars the 1st race? However even if he doesnt kill it all year we would all love top see Sam Hill win one more race. At the end of the day we all just fans of the sport.
Getting to try to chase Hill at US Nationals was the best. Short lived though. He floats over chunky, slow, wheel grabber rocksin a frustrating to follow way.
Glad to say I've seen his riding up close when he was blowing away everyone.
