I also look forward to the support it will bring to the activities of the UCI World Cycling Centre, our training and education centre serving our solidarity programmes.

Vittoria is one of cycling’s major historical brands and proposes high-quality products that have been appreciated by amateurs and professionals for decades. Its commitment alongside us for several years bears witness to the strong appeal of our events and at the same time will help us fulfil our mission of developing cycling throughout the world.

bigquotesBeing the official partner of the UCI’s mountain bike activities and supporting the UCI World Cycling Centre and the UCI Solidarity programme in the next years represent major milestones for us.

This is a great opportunity, not only to speed up our process to become a reference brand in the sport of mountain bike and its industry but also to unite our efforts and convey the values of solidarity, sustainability and equality that UCI has in its agenda for the next years. I’m sure our fans and customers will be as delighted as we are.

Great XC Tires super fast and sticky.

The Mazza/Martello combo that came on my trail bike is also a winner. Never would have bought them if they weren't stock.
  • 3 0
Came here to say the same. Genuinely like their XC tires.

Barzo is so good. Awesome rear tire for light (as long as you don’t need loads of braking traction) trail bike riding and great xc front tire.

@deez-nucks: 2.6 Barzo +Vittoria Airliner in the rear is one of the best upgrades you can get on your Trailhardtail, rolls fast, grips well and very hard to flat, even without real linechoice.

Did some 29x2.6 mezcals on 30mm rims for a fully rigid XC hardtail build and have been loving them!
  • 1 0
@optimumnotmaximum: wish my hardtail would take 2.6 on rear. Never tried an airliner... will have to check it out

@scvkurt03: Why hello there, fellow Norco Optic rider Smile
  • 1 0
Came here to say the same. Their Barzo recently safed my ass during an absolute mud-fest of a local race. Generates a ton of grip, for an XC tire.
  • 1 0
@scvkurt03: I just bought my dad a new optic c3 and they came with that combo I believe. I was looking at them and they actually looked really good. I want to have a go at them. How does the tread compound feel riding?
  • 1 0
@scvkurt03: mazza is absolutely brilliant, both front and rear
  • 1 0
@nskerb: Compound is good. Kind of a mid-sticky. I punctured a rear pretty early on, then opted for their enduro casing, which has held up nicely and is only like 1100g.

@waldo-jpg: I’ll bet it’s a pretty good rear. Those corner knobs are really well supported. Just want to keep the rear a little easier to slide, hence the Martello.

@BenTheSwabian: Such a good little bike.

Awesome. Great tires. Huge fan of my Mazzas. They mount better, wear better & grip better than DHFs.

The mazzas were the surprise of the year for me in 2020. They’ve been much more reliable than any pair of maxxis I’ve run in the past. And they have assegai level grip with dhf rolling speed
  • 8 1
@TannerValhouli: maxxis are shockingly unreliable in my past experience
  • 2 0
@TannerValhouli: I have been running them a half year now and will keep doing so. They roll fast for an enduro tire, wear slow and grip well with loads of warning before breaking loose. I still think they dont offer the same amount of grip as a maxxis maxxgrip or schwalbe ultrasoft, especially in the wet. The overall package is the best of all trailtires available imo though.
  • 1 0
@optimumnotmaximum: Interesting to hear! I'd echo the same thoughts. I had MaxxGrip 2.5 WT DHF in the front on an iw29 rim, and felt the 2.4 Mazzas were slightly ahead on wet rocks/roots ( I felt more comfortable). I do have the Graphite colored Trail Casing (not double wall enduro) though, so that probably makes a difference in suppleness. Both tires were on Cushcore as well. I will say another part to my grip thought is the climbing, a Mazza in the rear climbs better than a DHF in the rear, for me. It is super close grip wise, so maybe a brand new sticky Maxxis/Schwalbe would be better initially. But the Mazzas knobs look new still after one season, and my DHF certainly did not.

@iduckett: Yeah the mazzas definitely have the best wear to grip ratio of any tire i've ridden. Got 5 days at highland and 1 day at killington last fall and about 300 miles of trail riding on them this year and the knobs are all still nice and square with no fuzziness or significant wear (running 2 ply enduro casing rear and tnt trail casing front). Sidewalls have some of the threads showing now but only after a weekend of bad line choices racing the Diamond hill ESC (lots of spicy rock gardens haha).

I honestly don't think they generate quite the same amount of grip as Minions in MaxxGrip compound, but I still like the Mazza better because it's a better all-round tire
  • 2 0
@TannerValhouli: Popular New England tire it seems like Smile

@adrennan: right? 1 of every 2 i order lately have the maxxis wobble.

All of these positive comments made me just go out and buy some Barzos to replace my Schwalbe's when they wear out.

Trusting the random comments from strangers can't cause any problems, right??!!
  • 10 0
Absolutely You can basically trust anything you find on the internet.
  • 1 0
In this case i think you‘re gonna be positively surprise. Vittoria tires are top notch
  • 4 0
I don't know going to the pinkbike comments and ONLY seeing positivity is like finding unicorn. Maybe they are really that good? I was going to try a Mazza but sold out atm.
  • 1 0
@friendlyfoe: they are good. Went from Mota front and rear to Mazza front, Mota rear.
Now have an Agarro on the back. Haven’t ridden yet.

Nothing but good things to say.

Anyone else in Oceania ever seen Vittoria being used in for mtb? Maybe I'm just blind. But don't think I've seen them
  • 2 0
Thought it was coffee. I like both
  • 4 0
I'm from Italy and have never heard or seen these Tires, do they make Enduro/Downhill Tires also ?
  • 5 0
@RockCrawler: they do make some pretty decent enduro tires!
  • 1 0
I do not see them on MTBs that much. Road bikes they are more common. I have not been a fan of their road tires. The beads on them are not that strong mount up one time and then leave them alone. If you remove a bead and then need to get it back into place, they tend to shred away.

I've got Martello/Agarro 2.6's on my Zerode and they've been faultless in Rotorua, Nelson and Queenstown. Grip and wear have never been an issue but coming into winter I will put a new Mazza on the front and chuck the Martello out back... 3 tyres is all I need for riding all year...
  • 1 0
I've been using them for years. Back when they were branded Geax and the tyres were called Saguaro. These days the Mezcal is a fine XC tyre. I can't speak for the heavier casings but I know the tread patterns have some form in heavier ground.

VIttoria makes some amazing tires. They're getting more and more of my dollar. Please don't stop making the Morsa.
  • 3 0
Love them or hate them, very thankful to have companies investing in MTB right now. Thank you Vittoria for helping these races happen!
  • 4 1
Its odd... I never hear of people talk about these tires anywhere. But 1 article comes out and all of the sudden there is a bunch of people.

I got some Vittoria tires for my gravel bike (Terreno Dry) because they were on sale. From there, I now have tried the entire Terreno line, which are all good but particularly the Dry and Wet.

I liked them so much I decided to try the MTB tires and have been blown away. I've got aggarro front and barzo rear (with cuschore rear) on my hardtail. So fast and plenty of grip for that bike. On the enduro, I run a Mazza on the front and aggarro on the back for most riding (trail casing, cushcore regular in back and XC in front). I've tried both the 2.4 and 2.6 and the 2.4 rolls faster with the same grip, although I destroyed a 2.4 Mazza in a rock garden on the first ride without a cushcore whcih was a bummer. Tires are so good though I replaced with another right away.

I also have tried the martello as a rear and have a enduro mazza to try for some enduro races I have planned this summer. The only one I've not been blown away by was the Morsa. It's fast, but lll the other tires roll fast with more grip.

Good to see Vittoria getting some love lately. They definitely (and others - CONTI!) deserve it. It seems like everyone is on Maxxis and forgetting some really nice options. I'm really enjoying the Barzos because they roll fast and consistently grip more than I think they're going to. They are also noticeably lighter than the winter tractor tires they replaced.
  • 1 0
Impressed with these comments. I've got the Mescal / Barzo combo on my hardtail and thought it was just because I'm sorta a roadie at heart. Glad you others are liking the tires.

They also seem to LAST. I've got a few thousand miles on these and they're still in great shape.

For anything other than full-blown DH or gnarly enduro, these folks make the best trail and xc tires. For the grip they offer, they roll so well and last forever.
  • 2 0
I’ve been riding the Agarros Front and rear. They corner so precisely, I love how they cut into the dirt
  • 1 2
I was a Vittoria user back when they were Geax. I'm one of the cool kids who had all this stuff figured out six years ago. Currently on Morsa rear, Martello front on one bike. Also, covid19 lockdowns are a scam. I'm patiently waiting for you smoothbrains to catch up to me with that one, too.

 Location checks out

I’d seen good reviews, but those are a dime a dozen in mtb. But a Pinkbike comment section full of nothing but praise? Now that’s an endorsement.
  • 1 0
Martello 2.6/2.35 front and rear - love it so much.
Reliability and grip are top notch.
And the price here in Europe is almost 50% lower than Maxxis.
  • 3 0
 I love Victoria tires
  • 1 0
This doesn't require athletes to use Vittoria or place any restrictions on them, right?
  • 2 3
I was thinking along the same lines. I wouldn't put it past the UCI to force all teams to use Vittoria.
  • 7 0
No it doesn't, it will just mean that the events are called the Vitoria UCI world cup, or perhals the UCI world cup presented by Vitoria or similar. They are purely a title sponsor
  • 2 0
I have sets of Terreno Dry on my CX bike and XC bike - fantastic tires.
  • 2 0
Stop saying good stuff about Vittoria, they are getting harder to find
  • 1 0
Been a nightmare for me trying to find tires in the correct size!!
