Press Release: X-Fusion Shox

From pulling off crazy tricks like the Cali Roll to his shocking runs at Rampage, Adolf's impressive abilities on a bike have attracted our attention over the past few years.

With a refreshed brand identity for 2021 and the launch of our H3C Rear Shock in DH sizing, the timing couldn't have been better adding Adolf to the team! We're excited to see what the future holds!

bigquotesSuper stoked to finally announce my partnership with X-Fusion, I've been riding their suspension for a few months now and I love it. It’s good to see brands that want to support the freeride scene and I'm excited for the mayhem that will come with joining the team! Thanks for believing in me! Adolf Silva

Soooooo... He bought himself a commencal Furios with his own money.

and peeled all the stickers off.

 You mean a Commencal Führius
  • 3 0
I have been dreaming, and fantasizing, and in love with Furios.
  • 57 0
I'd have preferred it in Silva

A pro buying a frame on their own is probably better advertising for it than if they get it from a sponsor. At least as long as it's easily recognisable without stickers.

@ThiloSchmidt-Werthern: Just kinda glad he didn't buy a Santa Cruz Heckler.
  • 5 0
or maybe he got a good deal from Lacondeguy!

So Commencal is now the choice of both privateer racers and freeriders.

The real queston is: "WHO IS NOT RIDING A COMMENCAL IN 2021"

It's almost impossible to buy their stuff
  • 10 0
@dark-o: Its also impossible to find service parts. I have a velvet and i cant find parts even on ebay
  • 6 0
@petrospit: yep, also their service manuals kinda suck. But overall they are good products for money.
  • 4 1
I have their Manic dropper, it is perfect for me but it is sad to hear that their support service doesn't exist.

@dumr666: I have a bike that came with an RV1 fork, overall build quality and adjustments seem good. I can only find replacement springs on eBay and the manuals/website and general made me question if they were even still in business. A little effort could go a long way here.

@petrospit: Fox rebuild kits work on most of their products...

@petrospit: This is correct, I had an XFusion Vengeance R for 6 years. Fork performed well but I could never parts and could never find a phone number that let me talk to a human.
  • 2 0
@Kptzbik: I had good experience with their service. I destroyed the cartridge of my manic dropper and called their service facility. They didn't have the cartridge in stock- but once it was back a couple of weeks later they actually called me - twice!

If you check their website service is:

To me he did one of the best and most scary runs ever seen on Rampage. Speed, control and tricks. Wish you best dude with your sponsors.

I still maintain the xfusion metric was the best fork I have ever owned. Good to see other manufactures out there apart from the main 2.
  • 3 1
We're glad to the Metric is working out great for you!
  • 1 1
out of all the xc dads ive seen, you've got to be the shittest one of all. go ride some free ride lines with ur shitty dpxfusion and nose case every feature and complain about it on mtb forums and get some mates
  • 6 0
I hope he get spare parts. It is nightmare to get parts and support from X-Fusion (no answer to emails).
  • 1 1
Sorry to hear that you have had trouble in the past. Have you tried contacting the local distributor? Here is a list of our distributors - www.xfusionshox.com/branch/all/1.htm

@XFusionShox: what is the proper IFP depth and pressure for rebuilding a 165mm O2 RL shock, and what is the appropriate damping fluid for it?
  • 2 0
 @brianrages: no reply.............

"You can send it to the nearest specialist for rebuild"
  • 2 0
@whipduro04: Never buying this junk if support is nonexistent. All I see here are canned statements "we're sorry blah blah, please see this website"
  • 1 0
@brianrages: Hi Brian, the proper IFP depth is 45mm and the pressure will vary with the tune from 150 - 500. The appropriate damping fluid is torco rsf medium.
  • 1 0
@brianrages: No worries, we've also recently updated our website with new service videos. You can find those here - www.xfusionshox.com/products_detail/52.htm
  • 5 0
That means it's possible we'll see videos with Van Sternbergen and Adolf Silva together! Can't wait to see what they will bring out to us!

SuspensionWerx in North Vancouver does them here in Canada.

None of the shops or service centers will touch them, except for Mad Racing. My 2 Traces were delivered there this week for service. Not even QBP will touch them.

Since marketing is a big reason, probably the biggest reason, that companies sponsor athletes, I wonder who is being marketed to here. X-fusion appears to have totally given up the aftermarket in North America and judging by the comments on this thread, it appears to be a similar situation in Europe. It also seems like you rarely see X-fusion stuff as part of an OEM spec anymore. So what is the plan? Are they marketing to customers or OEM's with the idea that they are looking to re-enter those markets? Or, maybe they're marketing to western suspension brands saying "hey contract with us to build your stuff"?

Marin was putting xfusion on their bikes last year.
  • 3 0
He looks delighted about it too. I'd hate to have seen his face when he got dropped by YT. I'm not being mean - it's incredible that this guy doesn't have a full sponsorship deal.
  • 1 0
I was curious what this company/brand is and saw this article from a few years back.

www.bicycleretailer.com/north-america/2017/04/20/x-fusion-closing-us-office-new-taiwan-factory-comes-line#.YEO9bWQ74lQ

Pretty sure they never manufactured the big two’s forks.

SRAM has its own factories. www.sram.com/en/company/about/locations

Let‘s see when cam Zink is joining to ride a commencal as well. Very noticeable that a lot of riders swapped from yt to commencal!
  • 4 0
A few weeks ago Cam posted a scribbled out bike on his IG with a caption along the lines of cant wait to share. He missed a spot on the chain stay. He is going to Hyper bikes
  • 2 0
@Thatfield1: he's known Eric Carter (i assume he's still at Hyper?) since he was a kid so would make sense
  • 3 0
@Thatfield1: he is going "back" to hyper bike
  • 3 0
All of a sudden I feel like the Slide fork and o2 pro shock on my bike are so much more legit haha.
  • 1 0
I loved my Vengeance. I would have put a Trace36 and an H3C on my new build if I could find one for sale. Even Pre-covid you couldn't buy their stuff nonOEM.
  • 1 2
Thanks for the feedback. It looks like you're located in the US. www.madsuspension.com is our official US service center and will be able to handle any requests.
  • 1 0
@XFusionShox: Post proper service manuals including oil weights and amounts for all forks. People CAN service their own stuff and defaulting to a cann'd answer for "contact a service center" is ridiculous. Oh and make any special tools available as well. If you don't do these small things, your written off...
  • 6 2
 Is he really stoked?
  • 6 0
 *super stoked.
  • 7 0
So stoked he is up in the stokeosphere. That's very high on the stoke level.

X fusion products suck. The Dh stuff might be different, but I’ve owned a rear shock and a DJ fork and wasn't happy with either of them.
  • 1 0
Is he also the guy who was pissed in NZ last year for COvid restrictions ? no right ? thats an italian folk if I recall... anyhow
  • 1 0
This post is for just in case you didn’t see the giant banner ad above saying the same thing.
  • 1 0
Man the new Furious is straight gas, so stoked to see Silva piloting one, YEAH BUD! Big Grin \m/

Jump and tricks video for advertising coil shock? Video is nice, riding gorgeous, however that not the suspension ad
  • 1 0
You would think freeriders would all be drawn much more to air shocks. Don't make no cents.
  • 2 0
In all honesty... I didn't know X-Fusion was still around
  • 1 0
After years with YT he switched to Commencal
  • 3 0
 Commencal bikes kick ass.
  • 1 0
@Butt-Exploder: I owned Commencal Skin from 2009. Nice bike.
  • 1 0
@wyric: no way ! You really did? Because I've never found someone who owned a skin and, you know, commencal is so into eco-friendly things like no carbon... How was the bike ? :-)
  • 5 4
I thought SR Suntor and X-Fusion were both bad?
  • 4 0
I don't think x fusion really makes anything bad, lots of mid grade stuff and a few higher end models. Suntour has some super cheap coil forks which are bad, then they have midgrade and some high end stuff.
  • 2 0
Not at all, I picked up a cheap pair of RV1's a few years ago and put them on my downhill bike and they were brilliant, so much better that the Boxxer RCs that they replaced!
If could find another pair with the updated rough cut damper i would 100% buy again
  • 1 0
I could be very wrong about this, but it's my understanding that much like how a small number of companies/factories produce almost all high end bicycles regardless of the brand, that there is a small number of companies that make almost all mountain bike suspension. X-fusion is the house brand for one of these companies. So, X-fusion and Suntour stuff can be as good as anybody's because they are literally the ones making it.
.
  • 2 0
I like their O2 rear shocks- they are so inexpensive, a full service would is more expensive than a replacement. Don't see much difference to a fox DPS. I also like the Manic dropper.
  • 1 0
as fact, ik that x fusion is the worst possible brand they will be so unsuccessful in life
  • 1 0
Sick vid tho Adolf rips it
  • 1 0
Adolf really ripped it to the jews
  • 2 5
Full gas Adolf. I'll show myself out
