You know someone has insanely much style if you hope he doesn't throw any tricks! This was so sick!! And that moto-whip in the end was purely insane! (I count moto-whips and tables as style and not as tricks)
He has regained some feeling, but does not have useful use of any limbs at this point. It's hopeful he will at least gain partial use of his arm/hands, but only time will tell.
Oh my... This makes me wanna ride so baaad! But it's winter here and indoor place is under construction know, so I have to just watch videos... Really sick riding! Keep it up!
When you see the Cleveland Rays it makes sense why the Milwaukee Rays closed. Milwaukee just did not have a good, repeatable set up. Plus the lightly used huge pool/bowl took up a huge chunk of room and the location did it no favors.
Thank you. Some of the soundtracks are great others not so much. Depends on your taste in music. But we can all agree on the sweet sound of the mechanical symphony of hubs and tires!
So glad to be living in an era where style & flow are finally valued in MTB. The past few years have been especially great!... 2008, 1998... not so much.
I’m doing my best to learn at least 20% of what he’s doing and I just can’t stop looking at his arse in relation to the rear axle. Makes me wet. Awesome flow
20%. Haven't done the math but it seems that is already a big challenge. Stomping these lines is only one thing. Doing so with such style, precision and fluidity is another one and defnitely contributes to his 100%. In a park like that I can easily see myself land slightly off line and end up completely in the wrong place.
@inverted180: To be fair, many people expect more drops, log rides, that type of thing. They expect Ray's to be a skills park, when it is largely a gigantic jump line/pump track. Not that there aren't skills to be learned on that type of terrain, but it's wildly different than what the average 29" wheeled mountain biker (even those not expecting mountains) is used to.
@PHeller: I've only been once but I'm know there are skinnies (log rides). Pretty sure there is an XC loop too. Jeff Lynosky has a video of him spending the day there on his Giant trance. I just don't know what some people would expect.
@JWarner: They have that stuff, but not in the same amount that they have jump lines. I mean, the jump lines take up 90% of the park. The XC "trail" and log ride areas last time I was there (which admitted was 4+ years ago) were pretty small compared to the overall size of the park.
@PHeller: then it’s time to head back! XC line is more than double the length and still tons of skill areas. All of the pump and jump lines can be ridden on your big bike. Well worth the trip from anywhere.
I love, and ride, all of the skinny stuff at Ray's, every time I go there. It's proper fun. But I'm usually alone, or one of a few riding that stuff. They don't have more because few ride what they've got. I love the jump stuffs, too. A lot of 'XC' riders write themselves off too easily, afraid to learn to get their wheels off the ground. There's nothing prohibitive about it.
Anyone have an update on Ray's recovery? Healing vibes for a real good guy.

How is Ray doing? Any updates?
