Derby tonight - Calgary, AB Derby tonight - Calgary, AB
Back by popular demand it's Derby!. Meet tonight(Tuesday) at 7:30pm at the Eau Claire Y's courtyard for and hour or two of bar-banging action.

Rules are simple:

1 - Don't touch the ground
2 - Don't fall over
Basically this is a low speed push and pull bike battle to make the other rider dab. Don't worry, it's not a bike ramming frenzy, but a ballet of 30 or more riders in a small area, using the most basic bike skill to balance, keep feet off the ground, while grabbing the other rider's bars, brakes, arms, etc.

May sound dumb, but it's a blast!
Bring your Cruiser, BMX, singlespeed, XC steed or your downhill-ready ride. Consider it training for the Biker-X season. See you there.

Home Bike Repair – Bleed Your Rig’s Binders Home Bike Repair – Bleed Your Rig’s Binders
An empty pop bottle, a bent up coat hanger and a cheap pump oil can has served as the budget brake bleed kit of choice for do-it-yourself riders for quite some time, but those cheap pump oil cans are hard to get the air out of, so bleeding your brakes that way can lead to frustration and a waste of fluid. Another alternative of course is to drop by your local bike shop and have a mechanic do the work for you, or you can pick up a manufactured brake bleed kit and achieve the same result repeatedly, saving you money.

2004 Turner DHR Review 2004 Turner DHR Review
Two seasons ago I rode a 2002 Turner DHR, which I liked a lot. Even though it was pretty close to perfect in my eyes, there were a few things about the bike I wish I could have changed - Like the head angle, which was a tad steep for me. A bit more travel would have been nice as well! I guess I wasn’t the only one. Either that or Dave Turner read my thoughts since the new and improved DHR addresses those – I’m pretty confident it’s the former ;o)
