..I vote Bring back the photos for 2022 - videos are too much commitment to sit through, we like to scroll through quickly to the comments instead of reaching for the headphones and clicking on something that might be longer than the Return of the King LOTR

@threesixtykickflip: This, and it never ends properly by throwing the One Bike To Rule Them All into a volcano.

I wonder what percent of pinkbike viewers are during their lunch break. I'd rather have photos, than my co workers having to watch the video with me.

I havent consumed a single video article in the last week

 Same here bro.

Recently Pinkbike only shares videos.
I miss the articles with photo's and reading.

They cannot expect everyone to go watch videos with sound all the time. What if people are at work and just want to read, or during commuting?

I once did a quick count in a month of how much content on PB is just videos and it was like 70% or so. That's why it's free. Paying like $0.41 a month for beta doesn't seem so bad now eh.

@Tripmo: I love studying the photos and stuff, cant do that in videos the same way. Its super lame. Plus writing just feels like it passes the time better
  • 1 0
Same, at least wish they would bare minimum do screen caps and captions so we could take a quick peek.
  • 3 0
Pretty sure we’re in the minority, otherwise why would they do it? Is editing a video really easier than writing nowadays? I just want to look at the bikes, I don’t even need writing tbh
  • 1 1
@gticket: video format works well for some content like bike shootouts. Def not across the board though
  • 5 1
@warmerdamj: except beta is becoming largely clickbait bullshit meant to entice subscriptions from the pinkbike homepage.

I’m sure Brian park is doing a great job getting teenagers to spend too much time on their phones but pinkbike and now beta is moving in the polar opposite direction of what I am interested in.

@gticket: Apart from the 3rd party repost videos, they still need to write a script for the presenter, so there's no saving of effort, plus there's the editing work.
Unless they're demonstrating a new linkage action, there's no need for video over photos and words. Personally I prefer stills for bike checks as I can properly zoom in and nerd out on fancy new bits of kit.

@bulletbassman: I don't disagree but I just want articles to read.

Love seeing the Profile Racing hubs. A necessity if you want to show off your BMX background

@ybsurf: I definitely could be wrong here, but it's my understanding that jumps this big are more about speed than pop.

How can anybody claim any of these bikes look good when them all have crappy rear derailleurs that look like some awful looking shifting contraption bolted on in a horrible location?

This is why we need a rear derailleur filter in addition to an e bike filter.

I'm so tired of looking at this utter filth and garbage! I'm looking at you Sramano. I expected at least onebike to be single speed but it seems all the pilots are paid off by Big Derailleur to continue to brainwash the masses into buying derailleur bikes, and keep the industry from progressing. Big Derailleur is worse than big oil.

@pmhobson: I'm joking I have a high pivot and it jumps as good as any bike I had before.
  • 1 1
@ybsurf: Ha. I figured you were joking. I was more being coy and hoping someone would chime in and talk about the actual technique for jumps this big

@DoubleCrownAddict: At best this is poorly done satire, at worst......we have a very confused person here.

He used to ride Dobermann. Somehow that group morphed into The Rise. Lots of good videos out there. m.pinkbike.com/video/73018

Hah, that Propain Spindrift al (size M) with dc fork does not weigh 14-15 kg. My al spindrift (L) with zeb (and coil shock) weighs 17,2 kg.
  • 4 0
 Wuut?

He has airshock and no cassete/shifter/derailleur or dropper post that is enough to drop that weight
  • 3 0
@Mafs: Those differencies in components are true but still. Maybe the weigh could be 15++ kg but will not start with the number 14 for sure.

bring back 26 inch bikes pleeaassseee
  • 5 1
serious question....can't you just lace a 26" hoop to a modern hub and pop it on any of these bikes if you wanted 26" or is there more to it than that (I assume I'm missing some important details)
  • 10 3
@SATN-XC: Would drop the BB and rear triangle too far when the rear wheel is mounted
  • 5 1
Banshee makes 26er dropouts for their Rune and Spitfire. Thinking about setting up a spitfire this way, since it would have all the new geometry with the funner wheel size.
  • 15 0
@scottyb34: Maaaaaan, 26 and 27.5 are so subtley different don't bother.

Nothing like the massive difference in feel between 27.5 and 29
  • 2 5
@mobiller: I hate the way 27 jumps an handles in the air. 26 all the way
As for mini mullets your looking at around a 5mm BB drop an half a degree angle change... hardly noticable.
I've ridden 26/27 mini mullet an it's nice but only because it made the 27 fork handle properly.....

You can still buy 26". My 8 Yr old son has one.

The Girl says my new TR11 so naturally as this was not be a freaking premiere of a damn popular frame in Freeride. Love the new look if that!
