Brett Rheeder has today announced he will be riding for Commencal bikes in 2022 and beyond.
In January this year, Rheeder announced he was
parting ways with Trek after 9 years together and now we have confirmation of which brand he will be riding with for the next two seasons.
Rheeder has won Red Bull Rampage and the X-Games as well as being a seven-time Crankworx champion and the only four-time FMB Slopestyle World Tour champion. He also starred in several feature films, including "NotBad," "UnReal," "Not2Bad" and "Return to Earth."
Brett
also spent 2021 riding without a suspension sponsor and was hoping to test a number of brands to see which worked best. There has been no official confirmation but form this video it looks like he may be working with Ohlins going forward.
“I’m pleased to announce my new partnership with Commencal Bikes. As a new chapter of my career is unfolding, I felt that it was time to realign my values and goals with the brands that I work closely with. I admire Commencal in many ways, their attention to detail with the bikes, and especially how they support their athletes with media, something I can’t wait to be a part of!” - Brett Rheeder“We’re very excited to finally announce and welcome Brett Rheeder to the Commencal family! This is big news, and we could not feel more grateful and honored to be working with Brett. His knowledge and skills on and off the bike are one of a kind, and his competition dominance needs no introduction. To say the least, we cannot wait to get started on media projects and bike builds!” - Derek Tsui, Canada Sports Marketing Manager. "It's been a while we have been looking for a top freeride athlete in Canada, where so many mythic spots and riders are located. Everyone knows we love racing, but creating content is also part of COMMENCAL's DNA. This is why we immediately caught the opportunity to work with one of the most famous names in this domain. The idea behind this partnership is that we both combine our creativity and professionalism to push the limits even further. Same as winning a DH World Cup, we know it's not an easy task, but trust us to work hard to get there.” - Yannick Commencal, Marketing & Communications Director
You mean like William Robert on the Norco shore? Louis reboul on the Jekyll with a dual crown? Or what about the two Italian brothers on Commencal Supremes throwing front flips?
The shore is made to jump well, a fairly mellow rearward axle path isn’t that big is a deal off lips, Especially when the shock curve and leverage rate is built specifically around jumping, like on the shore. And in regards to harsh landings, the idler is helping with pedal kick when you land, so less chance of blown feet…
That being said, the tricks the brothers were throwing on the supreme were impressive, and definitely not how you generally see that bike ridden haha. Someone please link that video if they remember what it was called.
Trying a HP bike for 5 minutes didn't instantly make my jumping better therefore they are all garbage and I must trash them on the internet!
I do DH all the way through to flow/jump lines on my Supreme and it does all of it perfectly well: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PzZjxdrwGc
It's mainly the rider that lets it down!!!

How do you make the Commencal team cry......bring them to Snowshoe, Haha!
Red Bull Rampage champ, Crankworx champ, Women's overall champ, Junior overall Men’s, Junior Women's champ, Junior Mens and Women’s world champions.
All on one brand.
My question is... did he settle on Ohlins or is that just what came on the bike?
I think the problem is that, deep inside, I'd love a Commençal as my second bike!!!!
Happy trails, mate!!!
