We've all been there: It's the rock roll you've done a thousand times before, that one off-camber root section, or maybe it's your first time hitting a brand new drop - you crash. Accidental crashes are part of our sport. EVOC certainly don’t want you to provoke crashes for this competition but they would like to keep you safe on your next adventure by dishing out prizing for the best fail of each month. Here are our picks for January.

Fuckin Yewwwwwwwwww. Number one fail of the month was on our trail. that is awesome.
  • 131 1
 Congrats! Keep it up?
  • 16 2
Hahaha. I will keep up the trail building. Letting people send it when they haven't warmed up.. Not so much haha
  • 25 2
dude I wish I would have fuckin warmed up! in case you guys wanna know all that happened from that fall was a separated shoulder
  • 13 2
All that happened?! A separated shoulder is pretty dam tough! That cartilage is never the same.
  • 24 2
you're right but I will still be able to ride bikes again which is what really matters
  • 2 1
Yeah! Killer looking trail. Try some Cosamin ASU for the cartilage.
  • 3 1
Yeah @NWshredSauce Lots of swimming this summer and you will be feeling great! That's how I rehabbed my AC seperation.
  • 3 1
man i dislocated my shoulder in queenstown, how much does it suck hey. Been nearly a month and still cant ride Frown
  • 2 1
My separated shoulder took about 6 weeks but my dislocated took 16 before I could ride! Oh and the collar bone took 8 weeks.
  • 1 2
Dangit, i hope it doesn't take that long lol. I always thought once it was popped back in it was fine, nope, never gonna be 100% again
  • 2 1
"oh oh oh oh, I'm coming up short. yea whatever, can't be bothered to hit eject, just gonna stay on" hope you're shoulder's gonna be back in the game soon dude
  • 1 1
 #1 = getting loose! = fun
  • 7 2
Stem cell injections are popping up now. I've seen impossible recoveries already.
  • 1 0
Awesome looking trail and crash. After watching the vids, I really hope Kevin ended up fine. That looked insanely brutal.
  • 5 2
Why am I getting negative propped?
  • 4 2
@VTwintips ANTICHRIST! Speaking of your devil treatments!
  • 1 0
I've got a grade 3 separation. Yeah I did it mountain biking. That was 3-4 years ago and I'm basically fine now. I ride to work every day and go on real rides 2 times a week. So yeah you'll be able to ride again. I would strongly recommend pads though. You don't want to eff it up more. Oh yeah and warm up before that kind of shit dude. You lifted the front to get up on that step up but just let it fall on the drop! Glad you're ok.
  • 89 1
snapped headtube deserves all the gear he can sell to buy a new frame lol
  • 5 2
Wonder what Lars Stemberg would say about #3
  • 45 1
I'm currently using the headtube as a toothbrush holder... haha
  • 6 1
On #3 what does the guy mean by "fukinell"
  • 5 1
Dont know if joking or just in bubble @Monstertruckermotherfuker
  • 1 0
@VTwintips If you have seen any of @Monstertruckermotherfuker 's comments in other posts he trolls hard. I still got a good chuckle out of that line though lol
  • 65 2
I think these have been the most brutal set of fails of the month. I wanted to see the aftermath of all of them. Good job, PB.
  • 8 3
I thought the same thing. Every crash is brutal.
  • 6 0
All pretty evenly matched too, but I'd have to go with #3 for carnage to body, bike and cameraman vocabulary.
  • 44 1
That's me and my TR450 snapping in half haha, gutted that transition never got back to me about it!
  • 2 0
You totally deserve it man that just looked like such a gnarly crash!!! Sorry about the bike:-(
  • 1 0
That was wild. Bad times about the bike, deserve some free stuff imo!
  • 2 0
@GeorgeSansom I'd tweet that video and tag those MFs in!
  • 2 0
Tagged them on instagram too! Look on my profile, went out on my new frame this weekend gone you'll be surprised on what it is haha
  • 1 0
 Noooooo! Why dude?
  • 1 0
Got a good deal on another, spare rear end now too haha
  • 1 0
 Crazy bastard!
  • 32 1
wow these are all pretty bad
  • 10 1
By bad you mean awesome? indeed. Hopefully no one got seriously awesomed.
  • 18 1
Wow, neat adjustable head angle on #3!
  • 16 2
Man, all of these just make me want to curl up in a little ball and stay inside.

#3 kinded sounds like Warner behind the camera
  • 17 1
 #3

"Fooking 'Ell mon.... Fooking 'ell. Stay on your bike Danny!!!!" (This is what we hear in USA when Rob Warner talks)
  • 19 6
Why is the quality on all of these so bad? Looks like they were recorded underwater with a flip phone
  • 71 1
It's actually the latest in potato technology.
  • 4 1
I know right!!! Life is so rough sometimes.
  • 11 0
A broken bone is fairly easy to fix A broken headtube, not so easy. 3 for the win.
  • 11 1
Fontana crash was gnarly, Broken arm and concussion. It gets my vote.
  • 2 1
 Sounded horrible
  • 6 0
Number 8 was like there was a bullseye painted on that tree.... there wasn't even a moment of " maybe he won't hit it"... just BAM, squared it
  • 9 1
With the exception of #7 these dudes were ballin and had a bad moment
  • 6 1
#7 You can film when you're blind and have parkinson but it shows in the result!
  • 5 1
it would be cool to see an update on the rider and the bike, like for exampke: "this and that happened to the bike and so and so to the rider, he will be riding in so many weeks"
  • 7 1
 I almost screamed when I saw #1
  • 5 1
By far not the worst crash, but love the shakey camera and bad lighting on #7. You can tell right away a bad decision is about to be made.
  • 1 0
I think the videographer was trying to foreshadow the impending doom of the rider with that opening shot.
Seems like he did a good job lol
  • 3 0
#3 for the win for sure, that drop case snapped the head tube!, not an easy trick to walk away from. I hear Transition is looking to replace their frame testing equipment, could be a good work for this guy.
  • 8 3
3 wins (loses?) by a mile
  • 2 4
Yea landing on your spine on the knucke after attempting a double backflip definitely loses. Did you watch number 7?
  • 3 2
Yes, I watched them all. 7 is nowhere near as bad as 3 and in 2 he doesnt seem to land with that much force. If you had to have one of those crashes you would not pick 3, it's brutal
  • 7 3
Tree hugger was kinda funny and sad.
  • 4 1
I would say 1/3 were the worst, but those were all brutal crashes hope everyone is ok
  • 4 1
Number 1 was scary and stylish
  • 4 1
#3 takes some balls to snap a bike like that.
  • 3 1
#8 is like me at the bike park hungover AF except I would throw up in my full face right after.
  • 4 1
cried a little at #3 so he has my vote.
  • 4 0
 #3 is my greatest fear!
  • 7 5
What is the bike in #3? Whatever it is I ain't buy'n one of those!
  • 10 3
Transition I think most bikes would of snapped to be honest
  • 4 2
 It was a TR450/250.
  • 8 1
For Sale - used Yellow Transition TR500, wheels true, Saint brakes, a bit of trouble removing the headset though.
  • 1 12
flag MASyMAS (Feb 6, 2016 at 1:02) (Below Threshold)
That's why I 'll never buy a Transition. The head tube is always cracked and about to snap.
  • 4 3
what a load of bull he didn't even get the front wheel onto the landing, most likely snap any bike/fork combo.
  • 5 2
It was a Transition TR450 - I was there... and have owned two 450's and now a 500 myself... they are amazing bikes and I am more than happy with mine... & like @heavyp said - most bikes would've broken under that!...
  • 1 3
yep nothing wrong with either my tr450 or tr500, unlike my trek session 88, which folded within a month of owning it lol.
  • 3 1
 Number 8 for me! Brilliant!
  • 5 2
 #3!
  • 3 0
 #3 ftw!
  • 2 1

Candidate for the next month: www.pinkbike.com/video/436101
  • 1 0
#7 had the universal mid-air body posture of "I have no idea what I am doing."
  • 2 1
#2 - nice effort frikin' double back-flip, but the outcome was just hilarious.
  • 3 1
Is #5 still with us? Dam!
  • 2 0
After watching these I am never going upside down on a bike on purpose.
  • 4 3
Defiantly number 1 that was nasty, im glad he looks alright
  • 2 1
I hope Decembers winner got a chest protector and a prosthetic sternum.
  • 3 1
 #5 and #8
  • 2 1
You can here the start of the screaming pain in no7
  • 2 1
People who film like #7 should not be allowed to film.
  • 3 1
 Eeeeeeeeeeew . Lucky me
  • 2 1
Like, seriously, who shoots in 4:3 still???? ; )
  • 3 1
 #3 just a brutal crash
  • 1 0
#4 - California, USA because you don´t know about the rider any more
  • 1 0
What kinda bike was number 3 anyway? Pivot?
  • 1 0
 Or a transition
  • 2 3
Even if I didn't know that #6 was a fail vid I would have seen that one coming. His approach as he hits the lip was full-on uh-oh.
  • 3 1
 Three
  • 2 1
Extra brutal this month! 5 & 7 OUCH!!!
  • 1 1
Was that last one really a fail? Looks to me like his bike delivered him perfectly to the tranny.
  • 2 1
Does anyone actually want to win fail of the month?
  • 4 1
Not at all, but their recording buddies sure do!
  • 2 0
 Diggin the hippie
  • 1 0
Seriously harsh crashes this month :o
  • 3 3
Damn #3...that Airborne frame snapped like it was made out of toothpicks...
  • 2 1
 It's a Transition tr250 though..
  • 2 0
 #2...back breaker.
  • 1 1
#6 would have been the steeziest flip I've seen if he would've landed it. Backflip whip FTW
  • 2 1
f*ckin Hell is right! Comin in hot .....B)
  • 1 0
Was #7 filmed with a donut?
  • 3 2
 Man I love these!!!!!!!
  • 2 3
How messed up would this be, if all they did, was to list the celebrities who've died?
  • 2 4
Got to be #5 just for the face plant.
The guy in #1 doesn't have good friends, real mates stand and laugh when you come off.......
  • 1 0
 Omg these are great
  • 3 3
Oh my god, I stopped watching after #1. Insane.
  • 1 0
