Jack Moir Switches to Enduro Full Time & Will Race for Canyon in 2020
After the UCI let slip the news that Jack Moir would be racing for Canyon in 2020 last Friday, we've today had the news that Jack will be switching codes to Enduro full time too.
Jack has dipped his toes into enduro before and hasn't dropped out of the top ten in the three races he competed in, including a career-best sixth place in Rotorua in 2017. Moir makes the switch to enduro after racing for five years for the Intense Factory Racing team and he fills the shoes of Florian Nicolai, who moved from Canyon to Trek earlier this off season.

Canyon also confirmed that Jack will be looking to race some downhill World Cups if his schedule allows, however enduro will be his main priority.

His bikes of choice for this year’s campaign will be the 29er Strive enduro race bike and Sender downhill bike – both in top-of-the-line CFR trim.

Consider that there are lots of riders out there just looking for a paycheck so they can keep chasing the dream. I'm sure there are lots of riders out there who are on subpar bikes or fits but make it work anyway because they are incredibly skilled. Doesn't mean they wouldn't benefit from better setups though.
I think it's awesome that a company has enough faith in his abilities to back him in this venture.
Also... Klein is a young dude.... and I'm pretty sure he posted a 1st place like a week ago. He's only been a pro since like 2016. And he's got a boatload of top 20's. If you're talking about UCI WC events then yeah... he essentially just started qualifying for finals in them... which alone is a challenge. He's a young guy that's up and coming. Pretty normal for teams to have developmental riders with promise.
Magnus Manson... same deal. He's pretty young in the DH game at Elite Pro. He's qualifying for finals, that's a move in the right direction for a 2-3 year elite rider.
