Lluis and Andreu Lacondeguy are the Spanish brothers that have conquered the freeride world in 2006. They had wild appearances at the major slopestyle and dirt contests, so much so that even Derek Westerlund made sure they get a segment in his upcoming 16mm freeride movie “Flying High Again”.

Sun Peaks resort- A travel guide for the slightly Sun Peaks resort- A travel guide for the slightly refined
I notice as I get a little older I have to work more and ride my bike less, all my friends are getting married and having kids, crashes hurt a lot more and my muscles ache the next day, and most of all I am just not willing to sleep in my car anymore.

Back in my keener mountain bike days I would camp in parking lot C at Whistler to get a day in at the park, or tent it at the bottom of Mount 7 to shuttle the next day. These days I seem to be going soft and want more luxury when I get out of my work week and leave town for a bike trip. However I am not a millionaire, just a lady who likes a clean hotel, a high speed quad to take me to the top of the mountain all day and a sunny patio to indulge in a cool beer afterwards. Welcome to Sun Peaks resort from my new grown up point of view.

I have recently had the pleasure of riding and racing the 2006 RockShox Reba World Cup and would like to share my joy in the experience; okay, hopefully my whole write up won’t be as lame as that. I have ridden a number of different front forks in the past couple of years and find that I’m in love with the Reba (teary eyed). For all of you that are skeptical because you’ve ridden a flimsy xc fork, or a heavy xc fork, or an xc fork that just gave you a measly 2.5 mm of travel (why bother), rejoice, because this baby will rock your world.

August 12, 2006, at 11 am 4 riders (Dyl, Romy, Grey and Super T) from your favorite freeride TV show will be making their way to Ontario to raise money for cancer.

Most biking events consist of riders demonstrating their skills and abilities. But we find that these types of events do not allow you to get to know your favorite riders on a personal level; therefore we have decided to keep things at ground level to allow you to get up close and personal to the riders.

Its not an event, its a happening people! That's right a HAPPENING!

Each Thursday around dinner time of every week during the summer, you can find close to 200 eager riders gathering around the village area in Whistler. They are all there to take part in the weekly Loonie race series that gets hosted by a local shop and a local eatery. This past week with Crankworx in town, the local shops got to take a rest as SRAM stepped to the plate with schwag along with Behind the Grind providing the eats.
