Words cannot express how much I loved this. Every single part was fun to watch and its obvious that the rider was having a blast. Thats what its all about. Need more videos like this. Very impressive riding. Got a fav from me.
How does he ride wheely so easy ? Even without hands! He doesn't fall back, bike doesn't return to front... SO EASY..strange. Just sitting in the saddle and pedaling...wow!
What is the reason of that easiness...bike geometry, weight, suspension ? BESIDES THE RIDER SKILLS I MEAN. There is no even hint of balancing by legs or so....
That was soooo much fun!!! The reckless attitude is just too good to watch!!!
But I have to say, the song was distracting me a bit, Two Shoes are Seasons in Whistler and it should stay that way... But maybe it's just me..
Huge props still, more videos like this please!!!
awesome video! there should be more videos like this one. how the f!k does he wheelie so easy i can only wheelie like 1m then i fall amazing riding cant wait till the snow goes and i can pratice on my wheelies and other tricks this dude makes this look so easy he has awesome skills!!! @bikecustomizer thats just THE RIDER SKILLS! xD anyone knows what bike he use?
Man, I can about ~5m pedaling...I yet can't at all not pedaling, sometime may be 1-2m. That's why I'm so surprised. Of course there are other videos with amazing wheelies, which I also stocked by. But this is so EASY NO HANDER WHEELY! HOOOW????
" thats just THE RIDER SKILLS! xD" then goes "anyone knows what bike he use?"
he wheelies so easily because he practiced them... a lot... there are videos that will show you how to wheelie and manual but mainly it boils down to practice. lots and lots of practice.
Ryan Leech has an awesome wheelie course called 30 day wheelie challenge, I am pretty sure that thanks to it one without kids can learn to wheelie in a month. He also offers a short course on endos and lots of guidance on mental skills. Even I started to pop wheelies. His website is called ryanleechconnection.com and you can try it for free I think
I'm glad you mentioned Ryan leech as it reminded me of some of his riding, mixing trials with Mtb. I used to love watching his sections in Evolve.
The edit was a good watch, definitely nice to see something different!
@bikecustomizer yea me too pedaling i can do 10-15m then i fall back and without pedaling i can wheelie like 1-2m, 5m is my record so far haha!!! xD and the no hander wheely thats just crasy man i think it comes after a while of wheelying haha xD @shoprat Haha yea it must be true about the wheelie gene! i have practice very much can still not wheelie more than 1-2m haha!!!
It's hard to win either way in the, girls with the same hobbies situation. If your girl loves to ride as much as you do, who's gonna stay home with the kiddos all the time? Haha, just sayin!
What a fool, riding like that instead of pinning it down on 63degree head angle, he didn't use the potential of Mattocs low speed compression at all. But jokes aside, I must look into that wheelie thing, it may be more efficient way of climbing, especially with an oval chain ring.*
You fellows have this wife / gf thing dialled in wrong.
My wife lets me go riding whenever I fancy it (not digging though, we [the men] usually spend all day, come home covered in mud or spend all day drinking craft beer discussing digging).
If you want to go riding on a Saturday, start around Wednesday saying you're stressed, you miss the bike, spend ages watching videos and howling 'look at those ruts, i'd manual those'. Do this every day, by Saturday she'll have the bike sitting waiting, give you cash for lunch and tell you to bugger off.
This is why I love riding Trials as well as XC/AM and DH. It completely opens up the fun you can have with your riding even when out on the AM bike, be it in the woods, in the mountains, even on your way to the shops. The only problem is that it takes you three times longer to get anywhere because you keep getting distracted with things to play on en-route!
... and as a rider of trials/XC/AM and the odd trip to Whistler each summer, it is amazing to see what this guy does on a fully. So much harder on the squishy bike. Must go out and practice/play more!!! This makes me want to ride NOW.
There's nothing like it is there.....dicking around on a bike I mean, sometimes just like this by yourself is best! I love it.
Great movie and a nice change to see a guy just ragging the hell out of his bike rather than all the stereotypical shite that we see day in day out! Great stuff ) from WALES
The song has been featured before in 'The Collective - Seasons'. Pretty sweet movie and the song was well picked for the section it was used for. Check it out!
This is great! I used to ride some trials, hopping about on bouncy bikes is not as easy as he makes it look! This is exactly what my rides are like (though much less rad!) and just what I like to watch when I can't ride. Good work :-)
And by the way some are born with the wheelie gene and some are simply not. Some do it from 4-5yrs onward and some still trying (looking rather silly Ide say) well into their late thirties lols✊
It's not Enduro, nobody's racing. (and i don't even hate the word) I'd call it trail trials maybe? Or how about "what we wish we could do on our trail rides"?
Anyhow, a video succeeds if it makes me want to go ride more and learn new skills...this one wins for sure.
There was a bit of a nod to Akrigg on the 360 degree pan transition at the top of the hill before shredding down. If he didn't do that knowingly, i'd be surprised. From this Akrigg vid @2.50 - vimeo.com/65855392
Fabio copies quite a few successful videos. The lad doesn't have his own style. The only thing I see him do that nobody else does, is stand on his handle bars. Would you want to be known as the guy who stands on his handle bars? No, me neither.
I wouldn't go that far weegie! I've never seen anyone (appear to) wheelie up a full mountain before or wheelie facing backwards on the bike, the guy clearly has skills no need to be so harsh.
A very enjoyable video. Excellent skill! Am I the only one who is surprised that Chris Akrigg is only mentioned once in the comments. His Hill in Spain and Trial Trails are the gold standard for this Style of video. Anyway, that's the way to ride a trail. Thanks for the video.
Sick edit and it makes me wanna ditch my keyboard and quickly grab my bike.
Props to the rider and the filmer. Nice song and blend with the film.
Waiting for the next edit from you guys then.
Okay, so doing a wheelie uphill while sitting on the handlebar riding backwards [0:47-0:50]. I give it a difficulty rating of 11 out of 10. Wicked cool!
this is my new favorite video, he's just having so much fun playing around it's a reminder ( to me at least) about why we all started doing this in the first place....
So there's a claim when using a song as first, like a patent, so we can discuss who has claimed the song as first ... wow... amazing world with unwritten laws
No law on it. Just seems silly (to me) to use a song that has been used in an MTB movie that has been seen the world over in an edit. In my opinion it's like they are trying to use that good feeling people associate with that well known song and segment in the movie to carry over into their own edit, and that seems like a cheap trick to me. I personally love discovering new music, and have found lots of new artists through music used in bike movies and online vids. I think it's a good way of adding your own touch to an edit. Using a well known song is analogous to going to a trail that has been used in a popular movie and trying to re-create all the camera angles used in some strange homage to latch on to the original video's success. Or maybe I'm just thinking about it all too much! Bottom line - try and be original.
Were a meth head to dream of being Danny McCaskill, this is that very same dream.
Such nutball riding. Don't get me wrong. Kid is absurdly talented, but what a punch of wiggling dingles!
He doesn't fall back, bike doesn't return to front...

Simples.
She knows that riding makes me happy (therefore)
She wants me to ride (it's simple).

Not quite the right specs here, but similar:

It does look like an updated Specialized SX though (not a bad thing at all!)
This is exactly what my rides are like (though much less rad!) and just what I like to watch when I can't ride.

(the other voices are silent then...).
Seems that it only belongs to good Videos!
Very impressive riding, loving the final scene!
I'm glad you like this version of having fun on a bike
made me think of this classic video, all about the fun and cat empire tunes!

congrats boy!!!
