After a flat out practice and Timed Training session on the Lenzerheide track, riders are back between the tape to fight for the top qualifying spots ahead of tomorrows racing. Vali Höll and Loris Vergier went fastest in Timed Training, but qualifying is where we will really see how fast riders can hit the course.
In the Junior racing, Izabela Yankova and Pau Menoyo Busquets came out fastest. Izabela Yankova laid down an incredible run seeing her go fastest by over 18 seconds. Izabela's time would have been good enough for third place in yesterdays Elite Women's timed training.
Newly crowned World Champion Myriam Nicole is looking unstoppable this weekend, finishing qualifying with a huge 4.619
second gap to Tahnee Seagrave, with Vali Höll not far behind. Camille Balanche crossed the line just under seven seconds back and was the last Elite Women to come within ten seconds of Myriam Nicole.
Loris Vergier set the fastest time in the Elite Men as he bests Amaury Pierron by almost a second. Nearly a second back from Amaury is Danny Hart, the only rider not from France to make it into the top five. Loic Bruni finishes today just over two seconds back from Loris, with Thibaut Daprela very close behind.

On the one hand it is badass and cool and shit... On the other hand, it seems to me like the rate of injuries and people riding with serious injuries is so high this year.
If I'm wrong, post the response.
But this week Pom Pom would have qualified 119th.
It would be interesting if all the protected riders rode it 5 minutes slower than everyone, just to see what would happen.
If there are 10 protected riders(don't know how many there actually is) would 70 race?
(The gap back to the first rider is more random, because the top few riders are more like random outliers. They might also hold back in qualifying more or less.)
I was pulling for him
