I love some Bellingham, WA Fall time moisture, it raises the trail shred level to 11! I'm blown away at the progress done every time I pass through for a ride. Eric Brown and the Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition (WMBC) trail crew create some great flow. This time through, I had a chance to film and ride Mohawk for the first time with Doug Jambor. We'd been planning on doing a moody rain edit for a while. We originally were thinking somewhere like Black Rock in Falls City, Oregon. Doug sent me the Post Malone track for the edit a while back and I liked the flow, so we waited for the seasons to roll into Fall. During that time Doug moved back to Bellingham from Bend and reacquainted himself with some of the best trails in the world. He said "Bellingham", I said "Yup"! We called Ian Hylands to capture the action and made a date!

I'm really stoked when plans like these come together and the art gets made. I feel like a kid again making these videos and filming clips for my Instagram. I always thought that if I never stop doing things that challenge me, I'll never get bored!

Kurt, you need to do a Steez-off with Kendall Weed up there!! Both of you guys ride like circus acts but I'm guessing you could show him a thing or two. Sick edit right there. Thanks!

Love me some Kendall-Weed shred! Would be sick!

@Voreis: Thanks for this! More smiles per minute than any other 2:17 that's elapsed this year. Next project:
You + JKW + MacAskill + Ratboy = the jib session that breaks the internet!

@Veloscente: and Kirt on an old Jackal!!

One of my all time favorite riders. He's north of 40 and has been shredding longer than many "new school' riders have been on the planet and his riding is still fresh and current.
Most DH racers are done by 35 and free ride is even earlier than that. Is there anyone older at the pointy end of things?
As a dude north of 40 who is still trying to push it a little with my sports I have mad respect for someone who can still ride any that level. It takes a lot more effort.
Not to mention he is a really nice guy with an infectious amount of stoke.
  • 69 2
Thanks for the stoke! Gotta keep that blood flowing!

Uncle Kirt always stylin’ and profilin’ since forever!! Ripper!!!

@voreis may be one of the most underrated players in the game... Maybe because he's been doing it for so long... That cheeky little nose bonk table was sick! I love watching someone who seems to see things in a different light...

How could this amazing person didn’t have a frame sponsor is beyond words ,this industry is getting to high tech, ditching the riders that made them grow as a brand and sport ,always love to see kirt riding a bike, that little details on his ridding are magnificent, keep it going man keep it going, and yes congratulations to Niner bikes great assessment, you can see how you can improve them or fix something in them with a rider like him ,

Great job, Doug, Kirt and Ian! This turned out even better than I thought it would. Big ups to the builders who crushed it on these particular trails: Andy, Spencer, Bill, Skye and Tyler (along with many others)! Cheers, EB

@Voreis man I can still remember how pumped I would get when I’d jump on here and see one of your edits pop up and this one was no exception!!!!! Phenomenal man. You make everything seem so effortless it’s insane. Awesome awesome video
  • 6 1
looks like wheel size debates just got thrown out the window. ripping it like he's on a bmx, plus hollow stem bolt for front brake with a barspin? get the f*ck out of here; 29er benchmark! banger indeed. wow.
  • 6 0
Riding the same camo Niner as Kirt. Great bike and great riding Kirt! Keep up the good work Kirt and Niner!!!
  • 3 0
Must watch never needs to to be written when followed by Kurt Voreis! It’s a no brainer, unless of course the sentance makes sense ie: you must watch a Kurt Voreis edit before going to have fun on your bike. Or you must watch Kurt Voreis’s new edit 5 times to comprehend the stuff he pulls. Shame his acting wasn’t in this banger, his humor is his best attribute! Legend!
  • 6 0
Old man with more relevant riding and style than most 20 somethings. Thanks KV!

@Voreis I've been following you for a long time brother, since back in your racing days. Still an impressive rider. Never cease to amaze me. This video did not disappoint. Cain't wait for the next one. It's crazy what you can do on a 29er.

Wow bruh. Riding at any age is a beautiful thing. Every journey ends at losing all physical ability.
We all age and regress in that aspect, Kirk is on path to have one of the longest high level careers in the trade. I’m old too. And my abilities and have changed in all the ways through this sport. One day you’re hucking 40’ hips and the next you’re making sure that your grom is ready for the same. Circle.

Showing everyone what’s up once you hit level 4. It’s so good to see a trail video mirror a bmx dirt jump video.

you are having the most fun, kirt...

I love Kirt. His insta is a must follow. However no matter what he’d do he’d never sell me a Niner... nobody can. Having said that I am very thankful to Niner, Kirt and everyone involved for bringing this for us all to watch for free. Thank you.

  • 2 0
There is a small number of things that are timeless in MTB. All of those would be N.W.D., Peaty and Voreis. Every time I see a video of Kirt I just want to run through the front door and rip the forest apart. Keep this up, I know I'm finding it difficult to, legend!

Had to watch that video a few times :-) The bar spin on a 29er blew me away....didn't see that one coming! Voreis never ceases to amaze.
  • 2 0
very impressive indeed! hollow stem bolt for front brake and long cables for rear derailleur and brake, this is definitely some 29r pioneer territory

Been watching you shred since way...way back @Voreis . Just knowing you're out there still shredding and most of all, having a blast keep me stoked and gets me off my ass to go ride no matter what. Cheers bro...

Not to come across like a stalker....but does anyone know Kirt's shoes? I'm always interested in a supportive skate high top as my ankle has already filed for divorce.
  • 1 0
Supra Skytop? They look pretty lightweight tho, so not sure how much support you'll get, ankles arches and impactwise. Helps to use a big fat coil!

Just thinking the same thing. Urban auto-tune mumble rap. I'd rather listen to a jackhammer. Less annoying.
  • 5 3
Thanks @Voreis, great video even though I couldn't stand the tune. Was bicycle related as far as I could tell, so I'll forgive you Wink .

This one:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JG3CmMn0mA&feature=youtu.be
depicts a motorcycle but according to them it also applies to riding bicycles. Would be impressed if you could make a bicycle video around that one Wink .

Yeah I just muted it and put Bicycle Races by Queen on....much better.
  • 3 2
Has there ever, in the history of pinkbike, been an edit posted where someone doesn't complain about the music? i'm going to say no. Music is subjective, don't like it? there's a handy little button on you computer called mute...
