It's a bike and a work of art. If we keep producing things with the aim of being as cheap as possible we would never see works of art like this. It costs money to produce something exotic...which is why exotic things are so expensive.
And what's with the unfounded "It's a piece of crap" comments?! Have mountain bikers really become so ignorant and shallow?
Anyway, all my pets and my neighbours pets (that I haven't stolen, honest) are on EBay if anyone's interested, there's a bike frame I need to boutique bike frame I need to buy...
Personally, I would change every single part of it but if I saw this covered in the best and sexiest parts money could offer I would jizz my pants...same as if I saw a Zonda R...
No offence, but you also should "probably" do some researched before shouting so loudly about the costs of manufacturing carbon parts compared to aluminium. Saying things like "probably costs less to manufacture then aluminium" suggests your second guessing and just looking for just another augment. There are valid reasons why SOME (not all) carbon stuff costs more than aluminium and I did a lot of research (whilst swearing I would never buy a carbon frame by the way) before taking the plunge sir
- Yes and yes.
- Maybe, it depends what you look for.
- Most probably yes
Of course after doing like 6 root canals to be able to afford an Unno, it's not like you're going to get it dirty - the fact that it will only fit if you're a midget probably won't bother the buyer of a bike like this.
Now Unno why you'll have left over frames.
On the 3rd year it is Vintage already :-D
A real heart warmer of a comeback story from online ridicule and slander to total success!
What's so special about this frame to demand $6200 for it?
Is it 'art'?
I sure as heck don't see any performance there to warrant $6k for a fricken frame.
Heck, internal trans bikes are cheaper
