The team at SRAM had a tough task of going through the 1000+ entries and narrowing it down to 10. We received several times more submissions than we expected which took time to sift through, but here they are in no particular order. Each person in the top 10 here will receive a 2012 RockShox Totem fork! SRAM is still making the decision on the winner, give them your feedback for your favorite below and on Friday we will have a winner announced on Pinkbike.
Mike Serafin from Illinois
Simple design yet still looks sick, would definitely run them. Some of the others look too crowded and overdone. 2nd choice would be Nick Moore from Utah.
I'm with you two, Mike Serafin from Illinois. Looks sick, simple yet intricate. Nick Moore from Utah would also be my second choice, you guys have got great taste!
I also agree. The design is simple and won't conflict with the rest of any bike.
Oh and by the way I've been in Illinois for 2 weeks, Mike, is there anywhere to bike here? It's all pretty flat and the highest point is about 1200 ft..
At first run through the designs I was 100% in agreement with Mike Serafins getting my vote, a few runs through the designs and it starts to look plain, understated and there is something missing. Plus, when you mount a brake on a white fork, the hose will detract from the red. It is probably still my fav.
Yeah Mike Serafin #1..! Love the simplicity and could see the tree on it looking great in different colours to match different oem builds... I really liked the forestry sticker pack as well, most of those would just make great promo stickers for RS... Also really like the artwork in the Creepers by Nick Moore, but quite frankly the colours on it are actually hurting my eyes...
I can't choose between Mike Serafin and Nick Moore, you should run both because then you have Graphics to make everyone happy. Sick and Simple as well as Crazy and Colorful.
Yes, Mike Serafin's design is great. Should then be offered in two stickers sets with two different, one with red and one more subtle. Second place is Pedro Brajal. Some of the others are too hectic and in-your-face. Still great efforts tho!!
I like the one that will make my bike look like it's a little kids bike. Seriously, they all look hideous, I would rather run a blank fork with nothing rather than put all that visual garbage on display on my bike. When I see mountain bikers excited about this stuff it makes me wonder if the sport has lost it's grounding. Are you going to wear a matching kit, goofballs? If your fork comes with these stickers do everyone a favor and toss them in the trash bucket, or put them where they belong; on a kids bike from Wal-mart. Stickers are for children, but robot stickers are for a special breed of child.
I think they should take the left leg of Mike Serafin's and combine it with the right leg of Yanchi's From Bulgaria. (Play around with different colors from the Bulgaria one though so it matches)
yep. super clean. non cluttered.. I like the way it plays off the barcode, but with a natural element. nicely executed. +1 for Mike. also will work with the color pallet of any bike.. well played.
Well, If I ever need a freeride fork for a 5 year old I know where to get one. .............(semi-kidding) Some of these designs are great but Im not hanging a single one of them off the front of my bike, sorry.
Mike Serafin from Illinois. Nice and understated. It would combine nicely (theme and style) with some of the designs of Daniel Severson from California As a grown person, I don't think I could stomach riding the more outlandish designs.
The idea was for a "sticker pack"... Serafin's seem more like a core decal change. I love the way his fork looks but I'm not sure it best fits what the contest was asking for.
the problem for me with these sticker packs is each one either has very little variety in terms of the type of stickers in it (like samuel ho's are all really bright, similar shape/size and same theme), or has every sticker as really colourful, meaning you couldn't go for a more subtle look with the pack.
I really dont think they could of picked them by faves even so they said thats what they were doing, some of the ones picked here only had a few faves. I know 2 of my designs and few other people's not picked had around 50 faves so why are these not in the top ten?, I know I followed the contest rules.
i dont care if they prefer these , iam saying that they said it was general public on pb that where voting for the top 10, they cant just change it without telling anyone
Remember, its a DIY sticker , you pick and show your own personality. Samuel Ho from Alberta Canada is the BEST, Mike's design is clean and nice, but you cannot do any of your own creation to show your style. SAMUEL HO IS THE WINNER!
I just have one comment to make ... I still don' t quite understand how close do you have to be from the provided pack graphic elements, because some contenders here don' t show one single element from that file besides the Sram or RS logos. And that is something that determine how far u can go or not. But I'm happy that some of the best designs here where chosen, even if they don't really stick with my interpretation of the brief.
SAMUEL HO's idea of composing your own totem literally is brilliant I think. Stickers themselves aren't maybe the best, but such a great concept can be easily developed with help of pro designers. It's an absolute winner for me as it is so contextual, it fits perfectly to that specific fork.
It's an absolute winner for me as it is so contextual, it fits perfectly to that specific fork. All others could be placed on any other fork, with no change to the perception of the idea really. If you change Rockshox to Marzocchi nothing changes, no clear relation to RS Totem.
Serafins looks best as a graphic design I think, aesthetial and minimalistic but it is a bit too finished and fixed, not allowing much creativity. Would work great for Revelation or Reba, but not on Totem designed to go wiiiiild!
Daniel Severson from California
if his doesn't win and they have to run Mike serafin's design I hope they at least offer daniels as a sticker pack those are sick!
he didnt spell it wrong, its a refrence to an old rockshox decal of some kind. "when YOUR ready to make them eat your dust, we'll supply the fork." thats actually how it was originally spelled i believe
Dear Mike Serafin,
Your design is super sick and I know if that is run I will be jealous of yet another infamously awesome decal set-up on the totems! Killing it man!
Thank you PINKBIKE! So stoked even to make top ten. Its a honor to be with all these killer designers, Good to see others who shred the mouse as well as a bike I would be stoked to ride any of the graphics Killer job everyone! Plenty of super sick designs that did not make top 10,mega props to those guys too. Stoked !!!!
# 2 Pedro Brajal - one unique and distinct piece or art work.
The only one to offer a multi purpose sheet of stickers, ready to use on your fork, frame or helmet. Another interesting aspect is how Pedro achieved to gather a few elements related to bike riding - the helmet cam on top of the helmet is priceless!
Good luck for friday's announcement mate!
thanks for your words of understanding, some people seems not to get the propose of a sticker pack... it's not just about fork graphics... that's another job...
Absolutely love the Bulgarian one! Please even if that doesn't win produce me a few of those so myself and my wife's Totems can rock that design. It's a real-life capture of what a totem pole is and done in a super-stylish and interesting way. The sticker packs are fun but not too many people actually use them.
My personal runner up #1 is New York and #2 is Illinois! Great job to all the finalists and congrats to the eventual winner!
the rules of the design contest played no part in the actual picking process which is kinda weird. the rules should have been way more simple: something like design cool rockshox stuff, not to try and follow all these lame rules that don't even matter at the end.
that being said I like Mike Serafin's. Its the only application to the fork that looks legit.
Mike Serafin's work is best IMHO. Simple, tasty graphic.
But there's one but - if I see clearly, only Pedro Brajal's entry utilises elements of posted sticker pack. It seems, that things slipped out of constest regulations a bit.
Wtf is biking coming to? all the designs except for Daniel Severson and Mike Serafin are gay ass hippy rainbow shit. Freeride is supposed to be badass, Not fairy tale land.
First design (Daniel Severson), sticker that says: "When YOUR ready to......" Come on people, you should learn some english, especially if YOU'RE from the US!!!
Mike Serafin for pure class, and the one i'd want on my fork.
Samuel Ho for a great Idea, but i wouldn't want on MY fork.
Daniel Severson and Dan Sharpe for great graphics and flexibility of choice.
Great stuff all round.
I reckon that the design that is going to win will be something similar to the graphics that RS already use. As neat, simple and effective as MIke Serafin's it has no clear similarity to the graphics that RS already use. So i believe that a design like Daniel Severson or Nick Moore will win.
First, congrats to the top 10... my vote goes to MIKE SERAFIN. Though the art work is good in the other designs, im just not into cartoonish lookin stuff, but thats just my personal opinion and say this with no malice intended. What i think would be a great idea is if RS picked 2-3 totally different designs, then when you order, they apply the stickers you have chosen or just send them with your shock for you to apply yourself. This way customers have a little bit moe to chose from and plus it kinda makes your new fork, your own personal design with RS manufactored decals.....just a thought..... congrats everyone!
I like the color and style of Dan Sharpe's, though I wouldn't use that goofy looking ghost with the shades, headband, and strawberry. His is the only one that put graphics on the front of the dropouts.
There were so many great designs entered so I'm really stoked on making the top 10! It's awesome to see the breadth of talent out there. Thanks for all the positive comments, keeping my fingers crossed...
Please I hope you realize that the winner is clearly Nick Moore. Dude those tree skulls are the sh#%!!! absolutely love the design and it definitely follows in the footsteps of what belong on the totem which is sick ass graphics. I can tell you beyond the shadow of a doubt I will be buying a pair for my new tr250 if nick Moore wins

Great designs by all of the above but Samuel Ho is my fave.
Brighter than I would normally go for but easy for anyone to do a good bespoke sticker job and in keeping with the name of the product.
Mike Serafin FTW Mr Pima #2 and Samuel HO #3 The totem (pole) concept is rad but the colours are more dj style, the totem is a freeride rig, Samuel HO's design should go to the Argyle
BRAJAL from Portugal all the way, is the only that uses real bike and product related stuff !!!!! And the only that showed off the potentiality of his work here. brajal.pinkbike.com/album/RockShox-Design-it-Yourself
My only issue with Mike Serafin's design is where is the sticker pack that goes with it? I thought the idea of this contest was to design a sticker packer, not just one logo treatment???
Thought mike serafins other ideas were better. He deserves to win, he's entered pretty much every bike related contest we've seen on pinkbike... Other than that I prefer mrpima's as it actually looks hand drawn. Not a fan of too much vector work.
sry but most of these look like a bunch of 7yo kids got stickers with their bubble gums and decided that it would be a good joke to stick them all on a fork of some bike parked right in front of the shop where they just got em
theres some nice designs here but i cant believe that none of slandrews designs from scotland never made top 10,, imo some of his are better than more than half of these ,but out of the ones that have been picked i would go for either mrpima or nick moores designs.
also i really think alot of you are loosing sight of what makes a totem a totem in the first place... it was born out of sheer flambouyancy and outragousness in the fact that it has over sized 40mm stantions for a single crown fork and outragous artwork. its also the only fork to commision artists to design the artwork and sticker packs,no other fork does that except maybe the manni circus but then the artwork isnt commisioned for those forks... imo the artwork should be as bright and outragous as ever otherwise its just not going to simbolise what a totem is all about..
If you are displeased with the way Pink BIke and RockShox pitifully floundered their way through this contest go be heard and tell them. Tell them here! Let them know anyway you can. If I am the only one bitching the factual truths, they will never budge however, if you unite, we could make a lasting impression on SRAM. You have nothing to loose. Well, maybe a few "neg-s" and "negs" bloody hurt! Damn! Do it!
Yanchi from Bulgaria and Mike Serafin should both win and as their designs are simple, elegant and GNAR as the Totem is meant to be. I would put both of their stickers on my totem.
JAY BYRNES. The melting RockShox logo is great. I want it in red on white t-shirt (please SRAM).
The serafin design is cool but its not a sticker pack. If you ask these other cats to just design graphics for a fork they would give you something totally different.
All look great but Daniel Severson needs to spell correctly on a commercial design. It should be 'When you're ready' not 'your'. I think that Mike Serafin's design is very striking, particularly from a distance and also yanchi's is a nice stylistic and subtle design.
Dan sharpe for sure!! Amazing design! Why is everyone going for Mike Serafin?! His design is boring and unoriginal.....a child could have designed a tree!!
Daniel Severson from California- those are the only ones I'd stick on my fork. A good, all-inclusive sticker pack- very original but low key. Embodies what I would think rockshox stands for more than any of the others.
Nick Moore all the way. The time for solid color shocks is over, because everyone just ends up putting stickers that get hashed and look crappy on their shocks anyway. Long live the jackelope!
Samuel Ho's is well thought out and actually has a Totem theme unlike most of the rest. Mrpima's is rad, It would look mint on a set of skis or helmet as well
yanchi from Bulgaria
Or
Mike Serafin from Illinois
They are all really sick, but they are my favourite, with mrpima from California's probably being my least favourite.
Mike Serafin from Illinois FTW.
Love his clean and simple design.
The only sticker packs I would consider would be Daniel Severson from California and mrprina from California.
The rest of the bubble gum colors would be fine if I was 13 years old.
mike serafins design looks good would like to see what he could do with the lyric design.the stickers that i got with my original totems went straight in the bin they had no place on a mountainbike maybe on a school kids lunch box,but some people like this stuff .serafins all day long classy design.mr pima design would look good on a tshirt like the yeti .
Honestly, I think these are all super lame. Is this the kids competition or something? None of these encapsulate the word "totem" or look like something built for ripping. I had high hopes for this competition too.
nick moore..i think that thetre was a lot better designs, then those 10..i igree some of them are realy great..but some are made like a simple paint cut paste.. -.-
You said "everyone else couldn't be happier..." I suggest you go reread the posted comments.
10 hours ago lenmerderdenfer says:
You just stated... "Yes people voted by faving the designs and the top 10 are in the article.
Now sram is picking a winner from here. Go read the rules." If this is true, I have a higher view rating than some of the selected designs. In addition such a selection process is wrought in inconsistencies such as, not all participants posted at the same time so, view and "fav-ed" stats will be altered.
10 hours ago lenmerderdenfer says:
I beat 5 out of the 10 select designs in "favs"! What gives? Tell the whole straight story without omitting anything. O.K.! Could you please do that for me?
5 hours ago karl-burkat says:
It was a fork design contest, we omitted yours because it is a car design. The top 10 faved forks, not top 10 faved photos.
I don't understand what you're trying to find out. The people picked their favorite fork designs and we used the top 10 and now SRAM will pick a winner. Simple contest with great designs as an outcome. Please don't ruin it for everyone.
54 mins ago lenmerderdenfer says:
Did you even look at my "car" image? It has a bike on top of it with a 2013 RockShox Totem on it. I had simply put all the elements into context. In addition, I have thought outside of the traditional contestant submissions as I have also designed larger and holographic stickers. The contest was to design stickers for the forks, cars helmets, etc. Was it not? That is what was published.
I do not get you. ???
46 mins ago lenmerderdenfer says:
"Top 10 finalists receive a 2012 RockShox Totem - each worth over $1,000!
That's right, your artwork will be printed as stickers and shipped with all our new 2013 RockShox Totem forks. Which means, your artwork will be plastered on cars, bikes and helmets across the globe. Deal?"
I really dont think they could of picked them by faves, some of the ones picked here only had a few faves. I know 2 of my designs and few other people's not picked had around 50 faves so why are these not in the top ten?, I know I followed the contest rules.
@ LukeT66, I hear you loud and clear. It is all straight form the person who posted the 10 presumed finalist! Look at the pseudonym. "karl-burkat"! It is not right is it?
Here it is again because they deleted my post of the first part of the story. So, WHAT IS TO HIDE? Please read the above first part the the conversation and excuse my mistaken coping and pasting mid story. Thanks for reading
Allez bon ride
Tu n'as rien compris! Je ne veut plus être concurrent ! T'as compris mec! Piss off!
I can't pick just one! My top 3 are Daniel Severson, Mike Serafin, and mrpima! I'm loving these designs! Screw the rules. If the design is sick, the design is sick. So be it.
I reckon if mrpima's was a little less busy with the exact same design, it would be so sweet, maybe just the massive yeti/whatever it is and the word totem...
it's between Mike Serafin's "simple yet stylish" design or Daniel Severson's "forestry" theme for me, i got to lean more towards Mike's design though !! everyone did a GREAT job with this project, congrats to the top 10 !!!
Mike Serafin's and Daniel Severson's design were sick. I dig the whole forestry theme of Daniel's (geddit?) and I really enjoy the simplicity of Mike's.
I haven't read all the comments so sorry if it's already been said: (and sorry to be anal...) Daniel Severson's design is awesome but it's got a grammatical mistake! "You're" not "Your"!!!
Mike Serafin from Illinois makes my top pick IF it comes in more colors. Otherwise my top buy is Jay Bymes from Illinois followed by Nick Moore from Utah.
The design entered here would end up being inspiration for a sticker kit and not the final design. Like stated in the contest process. It's my own work so I figure it's up to me how to implement it.
Mike you have a bunch of cool things that probably combined in one would be more the sticker pack for me, and yes sometimes we recycle ideas... don' t give that inspiration crap...
I have to agree, I don't normally enter design competitions for obvious reasons. When i do, I tend to use designs that would be further developed should I win..
Top entries by everyone & thanks for selecting my design
Mike Serafin from Illinois is the winner, nice simple and clean design, not that i wouldn't mind having some of those other designs to decorate my office wall...
well man, i can only speak for myself here... my interpretation of the rules®s are this...we were to design a cool ass fork to win a chance to design the sticker pack. once youve won, you have 6 months to submitt your stciker pack ideas. it doesnt state anywhere that, whats on your fork is gonna be the sticker pack, if that was the case then why a 6 month deadline? The using of the previous sticker packs is very vague, is says "utilize some elements"..well, isnt that open to the interpretation of the word "some"? I know peeps are a bit outraged by the voting, or should i say chosing of the top 10, it does state that they will be voted on by the public, my only conclusion was that they were gonna be based on how many "favorites" the design has and then broken down from there, if thy werent gonna be chosen that way, why have the "favorite" button? I cant say if it was unfair or not , but due to the vague rules®s, peeps did their best on what their interpretation of them were. I feel, that everyone who is upset, is just passionate of their art and this was a big deal for everyone. As far as RS using anyones designs for later use, well...we all agreed to that once we uploaded the designs, but i will say if they wanted to do that to the top 10, then fine...but if they were to use anyone one of them, why wouldnt they be in the top 10 from the get go? And if RS didnt know this would be a huge deal, how could they not?? A chance to have your artwork all over the world, sounds like a big deal to me.
I think Mike win's by default... used "ctrl+f" and searched everyones name.. Mike Serafin had almost 300 hits and runner up Samuel Ho only had about 100 and some
My father is a man with ethics! He instilled something very simple in me. I saw it in his daily actions too! It was... "If you are going to do something, do it right!" I expect nothing less than the same from SRAM.
Earth to pinkbike: If someone expresses their opinion in a reasonable manner and you disagree with it, doesn't mean you should negative prop. them, that's not what its for...
You are 5 days late and you did not follow you own rules! Please refer to the following here below.
"SELECTION PROCESS
The 10 people’s choice finalists will be voted on by the general public through the Pink Bike website (www.pinkbike.com) and announced on September 8th. These 10 artists will get a Totem fork as a consolation prize and move on to the final round of voting. The final winner will be selected by guru’s, mainly us and the Totem artists of the past five years and announced during Interbike 2011... Some of the guys in this book will be your judges.' Your latest posts states the following... '...The team at SRAM had a tough task of going through the 1000+ entries and narrow it down to 10. We received several times more submissions than we expected which took time to sift through,..." I know, I am a sore looser! Even so, You did not follow your own rules! I am definitely buying a Fox product for sure! P.S. My RockShox Lyrik came with a creaking steerer tube / crown interface, a clipping red rebound knob on the lowers that fell off the first day on the jumps at the local downhill track, a U-turn that dialed down on it's own during my rides down the hill, a loose bushing in the right leg, premature leaking of the dust wiper seals and last but not least the maxle does not load the bearings in my front wheel correctly, unless I spend more than five minutes messing about with it. Anyway, keeping all of this in mind I still wanted to contribute to RockShox, (I must have a hole in my head) and I gave you designs that are beyond compare and you, not the general public selected the 4 year old girl's sticker book collection! It figures. Lastly, how many riders have you actually seen using these infantile sticker books? I have yet to see even one, even one.
That is not my point! Did you even read my comments? I stated 5 days late, Did not follow their own rules and I then went on to enumerate the SRAM failures found in my Fork.

that's a BS rant if i ever heard one, and i'm not even sure what you're upset at PB about other than your design didn't get chosen... what's the problem with a task being more overwhelming than originally thought and taking slightly longer than estimated? I don't see how not meeting a deadline is breaking any rules...
if there's one good thing about this lame rant it's that it made me check out your designs which are actually pretty good...
I kinda agree with lenmerderdenfer, it did say the top ten were to be voted by the general public on pinkbike and now they are saying the guys at sram decided. You cant just change the rules of a compitition and not tell anyone. If I knew sram was going to be deciding then i would of spend more time on actual stickers and simpler stuff and less on designs that I thought the people on pinkbike would like. Not trying to be a sore loser or anything but I think its a bit unfair.
SRAM is a big company and as any other one like that, rolls on max profit generation principles, where market research by public query is one of many elements of product design process... company is also people which tend to get very excited and holistic in the beginning of most actions then confront the reality. But I agree: rules should be rules, and they should be SO Seriousss about them
I hope rock shox doesn't even give you the satisfaction of recognizing that you exist.. Just ignore that kid RS! He is probably 11 years old and his mom wrote this cause her "baby" didn't win
I like your passion lenmerderdenfer only thanks to people like you some change has actualy a chance to happen
and park-rider-2 - there is nothing worse or more pathetic than someone that can't swear or insult properly. There's got to be a rhythm to swearing, i.e stupid big fat kid doesn't sound as good as big fat stupid kid - train it in front of the mirror
tirefunk - you are 21 wow, you probably managed to get it in at least once
just stop and think for a moment, if pinkbike let their users choose from "thousands of entries" it would be chaos and get no where, there would be so many ties going on it would never get sorted out... it's not realistic to have a user base as big as pinkbike's narrow down competition from thousands to 10... it would just be a bunch of forum type bashing like what goes on here...
yeah i agree with luket66, i geared mine toward what people on pinkbike would like. not sram. If i knew that was the case i would have went with more of a sticker idae. i saw many great designs that, not to insult the winners , were just overall more appealing to a larger crowd. Then again i can't say im not surprised
The thing is though sram said it was going to be voted by people on pinkbike, so you are going to try to make your designs so that the pinkbike public will like them and fave them. If sram decided half way through the contest that they wanted to pick them by themselves then they should of atleast let everyone know. I bet there was a lot of people that got a lot of faves on one of there designs and thought they would just stop coming up with any more designs. I thought it was a bit unrealistic aswell letting everybody on pinkbike vote, but that is what they said in the rules and now they changed that without even letting anyone know.
no, its not unrealistic to ask the people to vote. thats what was stated in the contest rules. to change it really at the tail end of things is pretty low. I can imagine that many people are not very happy right now. People thought that the most legit designs would be brought up ( I thought it would be like the t shirt contest where they placed like 100 designs) then from there WE would all vote. I wouldn't be surprised at this point ROCKSHOX simply ripped off our designs later in the year. Troy lee did that to me when they had a design a helmet contest a while back
Presidential elections don't work... That's why George W Bush lost the popular vote, but was still "elected" president much to the outrage of MANY citizens...
@buttonpusher, That was a monarchy destiny thing with Bush! That ordeal was a slanted election. I am talking about fair, clear, open, honest with integrity voting.
but how effective is voting when there's over 1000 options..? i'd agree that it was lame for them to not at least make an announcement on here of things changing... but i just think that they likely had to make a judgement call to cancel the initial 'vote' due to the sheer amount of entries pouring in... there should have been clear communication on that decision, even if people disagreed an announcement would've minimized peoples bad feelings about the change...
but if they hadn't changed it; can you imagine looking at over 1000 designs and trying to pick one favorite or even a top 5 from that many..? imagine how long that would take..? by like 480 my eyes would hurt, and by 670ish i just wouldn't care anymore...
Your forgetting one very important essential fact... they (SRAM) asked for it! So, they are to assume the responsibilities for there contest. Anyway, that discussion is all moot as the Pink Bike community was to vote. Not RockShox (SRAM)!
yeah lenmerderdenfer, i know its not right. im pissed as well. but fact is that its over. no point in holding a grudge. lets all just move on. this kind of stuff happens all the time for me
If you are displeased with the way Pink BIke and RockShox pitifully floundered their way through this contest go be heard and tell them. Tell them here! Let them know anyway you can. If I am the only one bitching the factual truths, they will never budge however, if you unite, we could make a lasting impression on SRAM. You have nothing to loose. Well, maybe a few "neg-s" and "negs" bloody hurt! Damn! Do it!
I think it's ridiculous that sram/rock shox wont even give an explanation. What they have to remember is that we (the mountain bikes) are the ones that buy there products and kinda make them a successfull company. They should be keeping there customers happy not pissing them off.
it doesn't matter if we say anything or not because at the end of the day, we are just 3 internet strangers who are displeased with what has happened here. but I hope thats not the case, anyone else who feels the same way should voice their opinion now. Because of this im not sure if i will even bother trying to enter another pinkbike contest again
Oh and by the way I've been in Illinois for 2 weeks, Mike, is there anywhere to bike here? It's all pretty flat and the highest point is about 1200 ft..
Plus, when you mount a brake on a white fork, the hose will detract from the red.
It is probably still my fav.
2. yanchi from Bulgaria
3. mrpima from California ( just a little to crowded for my taste but love the art work!)
Nice and understated.
It would combine nicely (theme and style) with some of the designs of Daniel Severson from California
As a grown person, I don't think I could stomach riding the more outlandish designs.

I just have one comment to make ... I still don' t quite understand how close do you have to be from the provided pack graphic elements, because some contenders here don' t show one single element from that file besides the Sram or RS logos. And that is something that determine how far u can go or not. But I'm happy that some of the best designs here where chosen, even if they don't really stick with my interpretation of the brief.
and
Samuel Ho - Canadá
Are the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vá lá Pedro tens que ganhar !!!!!!!
My personal runner up #1 is New York and #2 is Illinois! Great job to all the finalists and congrats to the eventual winner!
that being said I like Mike Serafin's. Its the only application to the fork that looks legit.
Portugal está contigo!!!
Pedro Brajal has the best sticker pack.
Mr Pima #2
and
Samuel HO #3 The totem (pole) concept is rad but the colours are more dj style, the totem is a freeride rig, Samuel HO's design should go to the Argyle
brajal.pinkbike.com/album/RockShox-Design-it-Yourself
Its a nice logo treatment though!
My vote goes to Daniel Severson for Cali!
Congrats mate!
The serafin design is cool but its not a sticker pack. If you ask these other cats to just design graphics for a fork they would give you something totally different.
*********Samuel Ho copy my ROCK idea in yellow, pink, white/black, and blue!!!**************
SHOX
Anyway, if we must vote - Daniel Severson , California
#2 Mrpima
#3 Samuel Ho
and good job to all the entrants and the eventual winner...and if you don't win don't be a sore loser

You said "everyone else couldn't be happier..." I suggest you go reread the posted comments.

I beat 5 out of the 10 select designs in "favs"! What gives? Tell the whole straight story without omitting anything. O.K.! Could you please do that for me?

karl-burkat says:
It was a fork design contest, we omitted yours because it is a car design. The top 10 faved forks, not top 10 faved photos.
I don't understand what you're trying to find out. The people picked their favorite fork designs and we used the top 10 and now SRAM will pick a winner. Simple contest with great designs as an outcome. Please don't ruin it for everyone.

"Top 10 finalists receive a 2012 RockShox Totem - each worth over $1,000!
That's right, your artwork will be printed as stickers and shipped with all our new 2013 RockShox Totem forks. Which means, your artwork will be plastered on cars, bikes and helmets across the globe. Deal?"
karl-burkat says:
I don't have a problem with you comments although you do like to start shit. Just want to keep things on topic in the contest thread. Thanks.
If you had a problem with your fork, try to warrantee it.

lenmerderdenfer says:
The warrantee is not the point. The point is fabrication.

Here it is again because they deleted my post of the first part of the story. So, WHAT IS TO HIDE?
karl-burkat says:
Your comments are fine on the site, when they are on topic. Swearing and talking about your broken products isn't on topic.
SRAM took the most faved designs and here they are. None of yours made the list.
We didn't put it up until late. I don't see how that affects you. Everyone else couldn't be happier with the contest.
Allez bon ride
The best design !!

Yours Cordially,
The shit starter from hell!

if there's one good thing about this lame rant it's that it made me check out your designs which are actually pretty good...
and park-rider-2 - there is nothing worse or more pathetic than someone that can't swear or insult properly. There's got to be a rhythm to swearing, i.e stupid big fat kid doesn't sound as good as big fat stupid kid - train it in front of the mirror
tirefunk - you are 21 wow, you probably managed to get it in at least once
I wouldn't be surprised at this point ROCKSHOX simply ripped off our designs later in the year. Troy lee did that to me when they had a design a helmet contest a while back
i'd agree that it was lame for them to not at least make an announcement on here of things changing... but i just think that they likely had to make a judgement call to cancel the initial 'vote' due to the sheer amount of entries pouring in... there should have been clear communication on that decision, even if people disagreed an announcement would've minimized peoples bad feelings about the change...
but if they hadn't changed it;
can you imagine looking at over 1000 designs and trying to pick one favorite or even a top 5 from that many..? imagine how long that would take..?
by like 480 my eyes would hurt, and by 670ish i just wouldn't care anymore...
